love one flew over a cuckoos nest, but cannot decide on one single film to tke on a 2 year trip as when you came back you would hate the film & never want to see it again & i couldnt do that to any of my favourites
i guess i would pick a foreign one so that i could use it as an educational tool to learn the language as well as enjoy the film & thus experience it on 2 levels.
especially if the space ship had more than one floor.
Right now, my choice would lean toward Chinatown; wonderful writing, acting and photography, and the politics of the control of water are always interesting to me, though probably not of much concern in the blackness of space. It's been on American Movie Classics a lot of late, and I've watched it every time I could, and it's still captivating viewing.
Excellent cast includes Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway, John Huston, and, err, the director Roman Polanski himself.
Answering tomorrow, I'd be liable to say something like Animal House or Caddyshack, but hey, that's the way it goes.
boogie nights. probably. i suppose it's my favourite film.
having said that, i'm always comfortable watching the breakfast club over and over and over again.
or maybe the usual suspects. because every time you watch it you discover more hints that you-know-who is keyser soze.
i could watch 24HPP a lot, too. good one.
then there's star wars. i like luke. 
and my adrenaline always gets going every time he's about to drop that one into the center of the death star. every time.

Worth hiring to witness how a production company managed to capture such a large turkey on film.
It had much promise, but it is predictable and leaves you wanting. Disappointing, especially if you are into ghosts and such. The ending, quite dire.
I did read it was based on the farmer in the South West of the UK who is renowned for his crop circles ... I think they abandoned any notion of this person as Mel Gibson plays a Hollywood hunk with a ranch and livestock rivalling the size of a small town.

I haven't seen it yet (I've got AI on my DVD-shelf for the last month or so and I've yet to find time to see it properly!) but I've seen "Unbreakable" on TV... what a GREAT movie!
