It's a WWII movie with Fonda, John Cassavetes, Telly Savallas and others, right?
Tis indeed twelve angry men. Set almost entirely within a US jury room on a sweltering day. A young immigrant is charged with murder and the case against him appears overwhelming. Only Henry Fonda has any doubt as to his guilt and over the course of the film, one by one, he overcomes the preconceptions and prejudices of the other members of the jury with the result that the defendant is unanimously acquitted. A refusal to bow to the will of the majority or an aggressor is a powerful theme in this film. A classic film which is shown at least four or five times a year here. Catch it next time. avsb.

good film, that one. martin balsam is terrific in it, as well.
Which character did he play? None of them had names except the two in the closing scene on the steps.
balsam played juror #1. he went on to play detective arbogast (the one who gets killed by 'mother') in psycho, among other things.
this 12 angry men sounds like an extremely emotive film.
i intend to track it down and bust it on my tv.
in the meantime, donny darko is on the hitlist for this weekend with the biggest bag of crisps a human can lift.
12 angry men is a damn fine film. damn fine. it's also quite a popular production in high school theatre departments these days, although for the sake of equality it's usually six angry men and six very put out women.
this weekend i will be rollin' with my homeboy eminem up on 8 mile.

The most poignant?
I've been blow away completely the first time I saw The Matrix, I wasn't expecting this at all... and I've been really surprised, I loved that movie.. but it's just not timeless.
The funniest?
Honestly, the two last movies I saw at a theatre that I had pain because I was laughing so hard are My, Myself and Irene and Austin Powers 2, but that wouldn't work if I've seen them again, it was a one shot thing. Seriously, I had serious pain because of those movies. Not great, but they have some parts very very funny.
The most touching?
There are tons of those, but the worst are true stories.. especially war movies, Schindler's list was a real one, so was La Vita E Bella and Saving Private Ryan... Good Will Hunting was one I liked a lot.
But overall, I'm just not someone who like to listen to a movie more than once, so if I had to choose a movie I can listen for 2 years, it would probably be a David Lynch movie, as I never get it the first time anyways, probably Mullholand Drive... or Memento by Christopher Nolan...
memento is a quality film, have you watched it in chronological order yet? (one of the best easter eggs have seen on a disc)
