because if there is, i haven't found it yet.

Scary Movie is a real contender, though it can't top that magnificent sex scene in the pool with Kyle McLachlan. :sex:

How's about the Robert Stigwood movie of the Beatles album, Sgt Pepper's, with Peter Frampton and the Bee Gees "doing things they're not proud of now" to paraphrase Dr. Clayton Forrester from MST3K, though he was talking about another movie.

Never seen either of the movies, but have not heard ONE good thing about either. Hey, I like gratitious skin as much as the average guy, but I can't even bring myself to watch Showgirls when it's on the tv, and I won't even think about renting it. :dead:

Yep, Manos, The Hands Of Fate is truly, truly wretched, starting with the title. Don't really know a whole lot 'o Spanish, but doesn't that mean Hands, The Hands Of Fate. Poor, poor Torgo, so misunderstood by humans. It is certainly more watchable when being roasted by the MST3K crew.

Speaking of which, Santa Claus Conquers The Martians also gets a grand MST3K treatment as well, with one of my all-time fave holiday songs Let's Have A Patrick Swayze Christmas. Truly essential viewing for the warped.

Plus I already knew the ending before I saw it, which made things even worse. If you haven't seen it, count yourself lucky!

One of the best "sequel-that-has-absolutely-nothing-to-do-with-the-original" examples ever! And, as an added bonus, the movie's failure at the box-office prevented Jan de Bont from helming "Minority Report", thus making possible for Spielberg to give the world his best movie ever!

Only time I've ever walked out from a theater: "Eraserhead" by David Linch. I went there with some friends and only one endured it till the end.

No it wouldn't; like I said, it was too long and I don't think I could've watched the whole thing even if I hadn't known what the ending was. Also, in reply to AgentWood's post, I knew the ending because I didn't see the movie until about a year after it came out (I watched it on TV one night), by which time it had all come out in the press.

But, in my opinion (and I realise I'm in a SERIOUS minority here), I think Silence Of The Lambs is one of the greatest piles of shite ever. I could be kind & say I think it's over-rated, which I do, but my honest opinion is it's total crap.

hanniball has to be the single most dissapointing book ever after reading silence before watching the film i wasnt that impressed with the film, but then if you read the book first you rarely are so hard for me to be subjective on this one.

that's franken-steen! the producers is fantastic, and i enjoy spaceballs, as well ('pizza the hutt' is the best character name i've ever heard). and, although history of the world, part I wasn't a cinematic classic, i could watch it a million times.

I haven't seen Showgirls, and probably never will, but I have to think that Galaxina, with the late Dorothy Stratten, would give it a serious run for its money. Galaxina is to Spaceballs as Cannonball Run 2 is to Hamlet, and I say that as someone that barely made it through Spaceballs in the theater. As far as nauseating experiences in the theater, which are in a different class than those that can be defeated by a quick click on the remote, my personal low points are Spaceballs, Yentl (with Barbara Streisand), and the English Patient.

the english patient? i loved it! but then again, i'm a sucker for 'those kind' of films (period/historical dramas) and for ralph fiennes . i wept like a baby at the end.

I have The Producers on DVD, an essential buy if I do say so myself. Any MB fan who doesn't have it yet is crazy....

Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein are classics as well. Spaceballs suffers from being made TEN YEARS after the film that inspired it, but there are some good laughs. Silent Movie made me laugh as a kid, but I haven't seen it in a while. Everything else in Mel Brooks' catalogue I avoid like the plague

I thought the book Hannibal was rather good, how he worked in the factual Beast of Florence investigation and the Pazzi story. A lot of people complained about the ending being too romantic / cliched but I was quite taken with the book

Black Knight is the riviting tale of a time-traveling Martin Lawrence who ends up in in 14th century England.....and all the wonderfull mayhem that he incounters....it was a real gem

Aah, the Baldwin brothers - I think they deserve a whole category by themselves. And I probably risk being ridiculed for the rest of my existence for this, but I didn't think that Waterworld was unwatchable - c'mon, Kevin Costner with webbed feet and Dennis Hopper with bald head and eyepatch can't be that bad. Looking at all the movies mentioned above, I still think Showgirls is a clear winner. And it pains me to say that, because I'm a massive Twin Peaks fan and I still can't believe that Agent Cooper could've fallen so far.

Ok, I agree with you on the Baldwin brothers....and as a SCUBA instructor I did find the webbed feet and the gills kinda cool in Waterworld, but come on....the movie sucked!

True. I didn't even bother to go to both my high school proms because all the music that would be played would be rap. But, instead, I probably did stay home and watch terrible movies - that were probably better than showgirls though - but I don't really remember.

Jeepers Creepers has the feel and dread of the start of Texas Chainsaw and up to the bit where he falls down the chute it is blinding. Then it turns to rat shit.

Red Dragon is I thought pretty good throughout with Fiennes putting in a great performance, outclassing somewhat Hopkins somewhat as a twitchy nutbag who can't cope with emotions

But JARVO? Whats up with Godfather 3? It was pretty awesome, classic stuff where the helicopter massacres the big meet and the classic assassin stuff at the end... C'mon....... Al rules, as ever.... hooooha!

They played the 3 albums live back to back (old to new), following the tracklisting - then an encore of a few Cure classics. They've also just signed a new 3 album deal with their new label.
