Today for the first time in my life I visited (on business) the fair town of Corby (hometown of ShugZV).
Within 5 seconds of arriving I had spotted my first Celtic shirt - then another - then another - then another - then another (this one drinking Tenants straight from the can at 9.30am) - then a whole group (what is the collective noun for Celtic supporters ?)
What an experience ! A little bit of Scotland - in the heart of England - I cannot recommend it highly enough. With my business over and feeling peckish I somehow managed to resist the considerable charms of Corby's town centre inns. Instead I opted to drive out in the countryside and found a pub where I got a top fish and chip lunch for £4 (!!) washed down with bottles of Becks (on a buy one - get one free offer). On leaving I was delighted to note that my car was still equiped with 4 alloy wheels.
With time on my hands I decided to test ShugZV's theories - stopping at Kettering for petrol I was asked if I "wanted a receipt with that ME DUCK". An excellent way to end a most satisfying day.
