Following the lead of the esteemed Hank Wiseass, Esq., here's a link to some music I made on my computer. Let me know what you guys think.

...shut up...sniff...just shut up...you had me at the Magritte...sob

Nice stuff...you should have submitted "the drive in is full of doubles" (aka "murder is not a crime") for Community as an outre Blue Monday cover.

since i can't think for myself, i gotta pay homage, you know what i mean? i try to make New Order sounding stuff a lot of the time, but I'm usually listening to Pornography by The Cure, so it ends up darker. We'll have to see how my cover of The Eternal comes out (which I haven't started on yet...hmmm).

What sorta gear are you usin' son?

I'd say your stuff reminds me of some of Trent Reznor's "sound collages" for David Lynch (a la Lost Highway), but I don't know if you'd take that as an insult.

If you're doing "The Eternal," consider me hot to hear it. :jump2:

Wow, that's flattering actually. But perhaps you wouldn't be so complimentary if you knew what I did use. It's the MTV Music Generator computer program, so most of the older tracks are composed of untweaked samples from the program, but I've tweaked with most of the samples on the newer tracks to get more diversity out of the samples.

What the hell are you doing up? Get some sleep.

I actually like the lo-fi grit, especially in the really low-pitched stuff. I get the same warm feeling with early (and not-so-early) OMD records; that 8-bit sampling sounds fake but ever-so-cool.

I've listened to all of these since you added the link on my apples fizz thread. Not sure what the MTV software is but I'd say my response was on the whole positive. Some of the meoldies are really nice. I'll listen through again and see if I can be a bit more specific.
