July 4th come and gone

For the first year in my life I did nothing for the Fourth of July: no fireworks or barbecue. Is it just me that's lazy, or is our nation regressing to apathy. 9/11 sparked some a lot of patriotism, but that has come and gone. I want to know what did people do for the Fourth?

Ate and worked on my tan, basically. Can't sleep now, it's near 11 pm, and the many kids setting off their many fireworks is creating a loud ruckus now. Maybe in an hour, I hope.

I woke up late, and went to work at 6. Working at an ice cream parlor - especially Haagen Dazs - in Philadelphia on the Fourth is absolutely brutal. Luckily, a Smashing Pumpkins song came on the radio at one point, and I only had to hear that ridiculous "Cameltoe" song once. Otherwise, with the heat and plethora of rude customers - who left no tips - I would've probably broken a window or set off some fireworks in the middle of the street. But, it could've been worse. If I were at home, I'd have been stuck seeing "Finding Nemo" with my sister.

I came from France when I was 6 months old and I do not speak French; I want to learn the language, but it won't probably happen.

Watched a little baseball, then went over to my friend Chris's place and got a little drunk. No animals or fireworks were harmed.

are u sure; u never know what can happen when a little alcohol is consumed on the Fourth

I also didnt do much.....saw T3...that was the most exciting part of my day...logged on for a bit, but I guess everyone else I know has lives...so they were not on Crappy day!

everything is better with beer! my 4th was soaked in beer, and 2 different BBQ's, and sitting in a pool over mission bay, while semi-watching fireworks shows along the san diego coast.

not everything...Jerry Falwell still sucks, no matter how many beers I've had!!

enough beers, and my beer-glasses filter out falwells...:D
