Aren't you skipping a step, Michael? Like you actually winning an argument (whatever argument it is you're referring to) in order for me to lose the argument? And as I noted above, when you refer to me going to "hate speech," I assume you're referring to the "kick me" sign on Adolf?

According to all the doomspeakers, the incentive is around. Make it affordable and have a good marketing campaign and it will sell. Use that LBJ add they used when he ran against Goldwater (nuclear war countdown in background). Or some fascist Pepsi ad from the 80s. "Buy this engine for your car or continue funding terrorists (insert latest photo of hamas suicide/jackoff bombing ).

But I do not need liberal do gooders and environmentalist telling me that I need to drive a Toyota Echo. Nor do I need them to have the government to jack up and tax the shit out of gas prices to force me into a shitty ulta-mpg car. Make a car that is of the same quality, roominess and performance with outstanding fuel efficiency or alternative energy source then I will purchase it.

Think "incentives" are needed??? No incentive to build the 64 1/2 Mustang and yet it broke all sales records. Marketing. Consumers are sheep. Why do you think the Ford Focus and Toyota Matrix sell so well?? Build a SUV that seats 7, hauls 10,000 lb and runs on hydrogen, keep the price below $30K and it will sell. (Insert mpeg of Saudis burning US flags.)

As far as disposible cars go, 99% of all cars are disposable, not just fuel efficient ones. Every car made in the US except the Corvette (74 thru 79 Nader Vettes excluded), some Mustangs and T-Birds are disposable. yep, even CAddy's are crap. I happened to find a keeper. BFD if it gets 16 to 20 mpg, its my $$$, my choice. I did not need Tipper Gore telling me what music to listen too, I do not need Al Gore telling me what to drive.
