I made this point in another thread, but don't Americans have camera phones? You can't move at sporting events and concerts in the UK without phones being held in the air taking photos and videos.

The only thing which should perhaps be an issue is the use of flash photography, which is something mobile technology doesn't boast at the moment (or may well do, I'm not that up on the genre).

yeah i've used my camera phone at concerts before, but the quality is so bad you cant even make out which person is which. just good for a novelty really. good for sending to those who sit at home and wouldnt make the concert to show off how close you are.

Al, the North American phone market is really different from Europe..

I never texted anybody in my life... I believe you do it all the time over there.

This is basically because we have a flat price per month for our ground lines... and other things too, but still...

I must say video camera phones are quite new... and I never saw the point of buying a camera phone.. why would I want that when my digital camera is so much better ;)

So if one is to take the L, where is a safe place to park the car?

twist, park your car north of the Aragon, near Bryn Mawr stop or Granville stop and hop on the train. It's a 5 minute trip from bryn mawr. not far at all. Well, chances are you'll be hanging out with us before the show, and we can park our cars together. If you drive the jag, might have to make special accomondations for it :)

I saw some pretty nifty camera/video phones on my last trip to south korea... :P

I'd like to take my digital camera, but it's not exactly small and it cannot fit in my pocket.

I got mine right at the crack of the pre-sale...I was actually worried that these tickets would sell out within minutes. I have stood in line at a ticketmaster outlet and was second in line only to find out within  a minute or two the tickets sold out...The Aragon is probably going to sell out quickly tomorrow, if not today...

haha are you serious?!! i knew i wasn't just being paranoid about the significance of these concerts. so you were there in person? or did it online? or was that story a previous experience of getting screwed by quick sales? I think it could very well sell out today, unless WXRT made it a limited presale which would make sense in a fairness sorta way. Dont want the same pissed fans like with what happened with U2.

Yes, I was in line for Erasure tickets, I believe...and they were playing the Riv or Park West or something like that and the tickets sold in practically minutes!...

I wouldn't doubt the New Order tickets go as quickly tomorrow!

320 pm and pre-sale tix still available. don't know how many wxrt/jam released for the presale,  but they couldn't have released all of the 4600 something tix, right?

I dont know the insides of the music biz, but if i was running the show i wouldnt give all my tickets to a local promoter, just to be fair. I mean i love the insider treatment from XRT but us Chicagoans have gotta share, only so many US gigs.

Usually on a pre-sale only 10% of all tickets are avilable. I know the show it's gonna sell out, but not in the Pixies manner.
