Well i suppose we should organsie some kind of meet. I believe 7pm at the cider bus is agreed, at least by people i have spoke to, for those arriving on the wednesday. Not sure about saturday though. what time is everyone planning to arrive? And who is staying until monday morning?

I'd love to be able to watch NO at Glastonbury this way, but my Windows Media Player simply refuses to play streaming video. I've got 1MB broadband connection, the latest version of WMP (V10), and have no trouble playing streaming video on Real Player or DivX. I know this isn't a tech forum, but any suggestions anyone? Cheers.

I'm getting so excited about this now...it'll be my 1st NO gig, plus it's glastonbury! For anyone who's never been, and is just going because of the Order, the whole festival is amazing, you'll have an awesome time. And yeah the cider there is good stuff....

well, I'm about to make your day.

For the past two years the webcasts have been in WM and I (wrongly) assumed it'd be the same this year. Then late on Friday I was told they'll be in Real this year. So it looks like you'll be able to watch it problem-free this year...

Garbage, Basement Jaxx, too. Switch to radio one for early tent sets there, on around noon here. We'll have a BBQ and'll be raving in the garden. What time is the rest of the contingent arriving saturday? Saturday has a cracking lineup, so not sure what time would be best for a meet up then. According to this weeks NME theyre on stage at 8.50pm.Dont know how what time they finish but Colplay are listed as coming on at 10.50pm.Did`nt realise headliners start that late at Glasto.

Well the webcast is in realmedia format, and you can get the raw link by using the "open standalone player" option. So if anyone knows somethign that can rip real vid as well as audio, it should be easy peezy lemon squeezy.

My brother is now a No convert, phoned me again and said was better than expected but just disappointed that BM got cut off the end. Of all the places to play BM it would have to be Glasto to the general pubelic.

It's probably just me or did they seem more up for the Glasto gig than last night, body language, the way they played? That autocue is like a security blanket for Mr S.

live webcast was great quality wth few interruptions. i danced in the living room nonetheless infront of the computer, anyone looking in must've thought i'd lost it!

Just watched the webcast and I have to admit it keep amazing me how such a brilliant band can perform such mediocre live gigs.

A lot of the playing was out of tune, Anna Matronic was dreadful, WIM was a waste of setlist, as are below par tunes like Transmission. And no Blue Monday .... :-(

And what's with all the shouting and whistling by Bernard ? It's freaking annoying.

I'm glad I didn't buy any tickets for Werchter. No, I'm sticking to the studio stuff and remixes instead.

They ran out of time for BM. Funny thing was BBC were expecting it and it took them 2 mins to realise it werent coming on as they focused on the stage waiting. Surely the roadies packing up gave it away.

thought they were wearing the same clothes, but barney obviously has more than one adidas superstars t shirt as the lettering is a different colour.

I scheduled my day to watch the webcast from Glastonbury. Dropped my daughter off at the ex's, rushed home, and then chatted with wenorder for a few minutes just before the webcast.

I was almost as wound up over watching the webcast as I would have been to see them live. The show was great! Barney seemed relaxed despite the technical difficulties. It was nice to see Dawn Zee joining the band. I wish she was with them in the U.S.

New Order has been a part of my life since the early 80's. I lived through the technical problems, bad weather, bad beer, and the idiots I ran into while attending their shows, but I have never been dissapointed until today. Where was the "Viking Flag" when the cameras panned into the audience? I was truly dissapointed Mr. Jarvis! :)

I have a few questions about the concert. What was up with the horse on stage? At first I thought it was a bull and had something to do with Keith Allen dressed up as a Toreador? Also, How bad was the rain?

...just got back to London, it didn't rain today but the the whole site was a total quaqmire - everyone anywhere near the stage was up to their ankles in liquid mud - those of us just down for the order came prepared with wellies, which kept your feet dry but just sunk into the mud - so it was impossible to move - think we were all as bemused as the rest of you at home with the panto horse - roll on Werchter!

Temptation sounded so weird but I really like their faults and Barneys strange singing. It's unique;) It was a great concert although Blue Monday was missing.

I guess I don't really understand the animosity towards World in Motion. How can it not bring back good memories?

Gazza, Lineker, Platt scoring against Cameroon, the unveiling of the San Siro, X, the Beloved, the summer of love. Just brings back a lot of good memories from the past, plus the added bonus of muppet horse :)

i's a dodgy feed, probably split off at the monitor console, hence there are no fx and the levels are odd and ever changing. Course Hooky's bass is fooking deafening on it, so that's a bonus.

This was hilarious. Serves BBC3 right for the shite coverage. Couldn't believe they cut to the news after Crystal and then replaced them with Kasabian after an excellent version of Transmission. Then when the "big finale" appeared time and New Order shafted them. Bowman's face was a picture.

I thought it was a great performance. Barney didn't look too happy though. Maybe he was missing Hooky who was hiding in the pit.

Fear not noble Berliner, I'm sure we can put the gig together for you. I have errrrr most of it. I'm not gonna start twatting around with this one until I find out what everyone else has up their sleeves ( fixed hyde park up a treat only to find spotnick had beaten me too it....mine does sound s teeny bit better tho :) ). I'd have though there was a way to scrape bbc off the astra sat over there, of corse maybe it requires you to b a 1000yrold gallifreyan TimeLord.

Hooky was a fucking star at Glastonbury, and it was great to hear the faithful giving it plenty of audible "New Or-DAH!!" between songs on the BBC coverage.

Good work by the nutters that went - especially those who did Hyde Park as well.

Almost uninterupted Primal Scream coverage on BBC3 in the same slot No performed last night. Gutted! I wont blame Kasabain but the Beeb have got a lot to answer for!

Watched NO live via Broadband last night. I thought they where good. The humour during tuning, was really funny, which showed them as being down to earth. You tend to forget that theyve a sense of humour. Hookey was amazing, the true rocknroller, loved it when he took the bass down to the crowd.

It was a pretty good gig, and the band were in top form – Bernard and Steven seemed happy enough, and Hooky was running all over the place with that Bass.

We arrived last Wednesday, and met up with Colin (Bignoil), (Digital) Mike (Jackson ) and (uncle) Liam at the Cider bus. Thursday was a beautiful day, and I wandered about the huge site, sampling all Glasto has to offer.

Then the horror: Woke at 6 on Friday to the sound of thunderclaps. My shit shit leakey tent effectively told me to fuckoff under about 2inches of water. As a result, my cloths were damp, money damper, and phone coverage extremely patchy (apologies to Colin and Liam). Luckily we were a bit up on the hill, and I stopped feeling sorry for myself after seeing the situation some people were left in.

Anyhow, for me the band of the weekend were Doves, who played an outstanding gig on Friday. Brian Wilson and the Peatbog Fairies were fantastic too.

Primal Scream were Shit. Bobbie Gillespie needs to get his act together pretty soon. It seems he is finally running out of talented people to sponge off, and he just looked like a stupid old junkie on stage last night.

On to the most important bit: New Orders gig was fantastic. I really enjoyed it – epically (to my surprise) the Joy Division songs. Transmission sounded great.

On the downside: the crowd were the biggest bunch of witless cunts ever assembled. How many lifeless Chris Martin worshiping pillocks can you fit into one field? I felt totally isolated down there. At one stage, Hooky was doing his Bass walk, so I chanced upon clambering to crowd surf – and never has a crowd been so unreceptive. The people 2 rows in front of me formed a human chain in order to stop anyone coming within 10meters of the stage. I gather they were standing there all day waiting for St Chris and his lifeless, ploddy, boring, shit, samey tunes. I was a bit to the right of the stage – all the action & NewOrder fans seemed to be to the left.

Imagine – a human chain. Shoulder to shoulder they grasped each other – fearful that anyone would attempt moving, dancing, or any attempt to have fun.

Where were the Vikings? I couldn’t find them at all. Apologies to Colin over the (patchy) conversations. I asked about 4 people with skull and crossbones were they the Vikings, only to receive blank expressions and the occasional “no, we’re pirates”.

It was nice to meet Colin, Mike and Liam – who are all thoroughly decent chaps! It was also nice to meet dozen or so people of my own age at the festival into the order too.

Great Festival – Great performance

Pity about the mud and the coldplay contingent.

Good to see you all and bloody great gig. The sound was perfect - that Pyramid system made everyone sound ace. The sound on the telly broadcast did not do it justice, according to people I know who have watched it.

The most impressive part of the gig for me was the Oldam New Order fan I stood next to who offered the Coldplay fan behind me a smack in the mouth for heckling the LWTUA restart.

Conor - you're a hero for putting a brave face on that discomfort in the field. The carnage on Friday morning was like nothing I have ever seen.

I was a bit poor at seeing other bands, I basically suelched around the site absorbing the goings on and stayed away from the large crowds. We I stood with a Policeman at the top of a hill and watched Brian Wilson, which was a new experience! I got my head sunburnt (those of you that have seen it will know that this is a bad thing to happen to me) and couln't be arsed with the Scream. Reading the reports today I realise that I made a mistake!

The best part of the scream was Bobby repeating over and over "Hippo cunts"

Sounds like a right laugh. I went to see the la's, couldnt be bothered trekking to the pyramid and wanted to get a good spot down the front for the man. Bit gutted now, even though the la's were spot on musically.

And a bitter old twisted tosser who maybe has just realised the Scream don`t cut it anymore.Screamadelica was awesome no argument. But The last album was bollocks.

First of all, I thought New Order were great....does anyone know if EGG was on the setlist for glasto too? That would have made my day. But whatever, the set was pretty good I thought (even though it was the same as most others this year!). My mates and I thought Transmission sounded great, and even though LWTUA was slightly butchered ("Love, Love will tear us apart *come on!* agaaaaaaiiiiIIIINNNNNN!!! *whoop!*), the opening still sent a shiver down the spine. And yes they sounded a bit ropey, but even I thought that was part of the charm, and it was my first live NO experience. I agree with earlier posters about the static coldplay fans. No one was dancing near me at all (I was nearish to the front, on Hooky's side). The lads seemed to be having a great time though - the screen caught Steve grinning like a lunatic. I missed the scream, but it sounds pretty mental, the last true rock and rollers...I wonder if they can carry it on though without it becoming a bit sad... I saw LCD soundsystem instead....is anyone familiar with these? They were my undoubted highlight of the weekend. Absolutely awesome, some furious dancing going on in that tent!

I caught the end of them in the PEEL tent, as i worked my way in for RYAN ADAMS ( no show ), it was a good atmosphere.
