... Oops, I think CTB just lost half his Horlicks down his shirt.

I have it from an official local source that there is now the possibility of New Order gigs in Australia this year. I should stress that at this stage they are only being discussed and are not close to confirmation. They may not yet even eventuate, but I thought I'd share the info as previously most of us had discounted the possibility entirely.

The timeframe suggested was mid-year rather than late-year so if you check their current tour schedule you can take a stab at where any dates might fall. There's not a great deal of room there however.

The most ironic thing of all would be if they toured here while CTB was in Europe chasing them down, but I would not wish that on him, no way.

Sometimes there's a need for wordsmithery on this forum, but this isn't one of them.

Fuckin' ace.

Dc, an email please to discuss...

Boomin' back atcha CTB. Keep an eye on your inbox.

There was an excellent omen for any such gigs today. I received a package from the Artist Formerly Known As Al Jarvis containing my Vikings 2002 badge - which I'd requested - but also a surprise 2005 badge which I'd assumed I could never put to good use. But now the sniff of an opportunity has emerged.

Big ups to the Monster.

Jammy git - I want a badge as well.

Does my physical resemblance to an actual Viking hold any sway on this matter?

Vikings were for the most part hairy, no? Am I alone in thinking this truism is somewhat at odds with Mr Jarvis' placement within this ethnicity?

You have to earn the metal, CTB. Just sporting an ape drape won't do it. How many gigs did you do in 2002?

I'll have to get the Monster in to see if this qualifies you.

I hope there will be some die-cast rabbit badges for the 2005 gigs.

The Rabbits might not sound as potent as The Vikings, but they can nibble through more snacks.

Are we to expect "Bright Eyes" over the PA as they leave the stage instead of the stirring anthem from hugely-entertaining-but-faintly-ridiculous Kirk Douglas movie of 1958 from which said entourage take their name?

Or, simply, not?
