Well it has sold out completely now. If they do play before Oasis it is a clever way by Warner i guess of introducing/exposing them to a hoard of teenagers / 20somethings going to see all the latest 'new' bands without it selling out much earlier on just to mainly No fans. It's a shame that the average No fan might miss out though (if they did not gamble and get a ticket
)
From NME:
"V FESTIVAL 2005 has sold out.
Tickets for this year’s event have all been snapped up in record time for both sites, with Chelmsford camping tickets selling out in three hours.
Festival director Bob Angus said: “With the amazing line up announced so far and it being the tenth anniversary, we’re pleased, but not entirely surprised that tickets sold out so quickly.”
V Festival 2005 will take place at Staffordshire’s Weston Park and Chelmsford’s Hylands Park between August 20-21 with a line-up featuring Oasis, Franz Ferdinand, Scissor Sisters, Embrace, Maroon 5, Ian Brown, Jet, Kaiser Chiefs and The Music."
