That cunt from The Bravery is going to get a bottle full of my very own amber nectar (June 2005 vintage) all over his stupid fucking hair.

Good Doctor

That may not make as much of a difference as you would think:confused:  what's he got on it already?

I think we should start a thread namechecking every boozer within a 5-mile radius of Hyde Park.

I mean, I feel like I 'know' Chicago inside out now and I've never ever been before.

their are plenty of decent boozers in the area ( i was working at bottom of Edgeware Rd for a couple of months last summer) Starter for 10 , The masons.

A small pub with great beer - Tanglefoot, Badger and Sussex. With its open (albeit gas) fires and tongue and groove boarding up to the ceiling, it's a very comfortable and cosy boozer. This pub is definitely worth a visit for any pub aficionado, it does traditional grub, has friendly locals and prompt and friendly service. However, a word of warning: it does fill up with tourists in the summer.

Yes, I imagine the collected hordes of ale-quaffing Vikings and other undesirables will be pretty off-putting to your average touristy-type.

But you get your own bar ,you can clean Barney's trainers before the show - and best of all you get to 'finger' buffet - whoever he/she is ( better get there early - don't want sloppy 3833rds ).

Sounds reasonable to me for all that !!

i'll be heading down to Hyde Park.. Has anyone got their ticket yet???

I've bought my ticket and now am counting the days before I shall be 'up town' to see them again. Anyone here meeting for a few dozen pints in a handy local near HP beforehand? I take it they'll be headlining so won't be on much before 9 p.m - plenty of pintage time!

Cheers to the bloke who posted the pub info here. That looks a decent place so maybe a crawl would be a cool idea.

Yes, but me and Mick are sleeping in it. She's on the floor. You can have the bath if you like...

I'm in the 'Ramada Hyde Park' chick. I booked through www.valuehotelsuk.co.uk. It was only £99 for the two nights (it was a two nights for one and money off offer so I think I was quite lucky?) :)

Hey I paid £180 for 4 nights (single bed room it is). Was I lucky too?

I listened to some tracks by The Dears. They sound a lot like Morrissey. Not sure if thats a good thing or not.

Hmmm.. I ordered the tickets via the automated system (including leaving email address/phone number), and nothing has come through thus far confirming order...

Has anyone else received confirmation, or should I assume that the automated booking system failed, and that I should buy another ticket?

If you made a note of your booking ref, you can call 08701535353 - and after about 15 mins of automated menus you should get to speak to someone who can confirm the order - but don't expect the tickets to arrive before June!

Nick - I did the same thing as you at the same time as you. Remember reading your post just after I'd put the phone down. Nothing has come thru to me either. Late as poss delivery. It's an old method of attempting to curb a black market.

On a slightly different note, take it you know there's a 4 page article on 808 State in this months Record Collector ?.
