Bollocks! Haven't even got there yet and I'm already lost. I will NOT stay in Berkeley Court Hotel in Berkeley Street but in 94, Sussex Gardens. Figured it out today. :D

And as I´ve found to my cost, "Banners" cost the best part of a hundred quid to get knocked out, so that´s more than one beer, surely....?

Bit of info from a london taxi driver!! Most of the concerts are staged in the park lane/hyde park corner side of the park,so best to drink in the pubs in mayfair,to the east of park lane.Best spot,in my opinion is a place called shepherds market,where there are loads of pubs,restaurants,sandwich bars in a small area!!.It is situated right behind the hilton hotel,look for shepherd street /trebeck st on the map.Cheapest hotels can be found in sussex gardens in paddington,which is a fair way from the concert site,or maybe try around victoria station.There are loads of b&b`s,try warwick way,belgrave road,st.georges drive.You can walk to hyde park in around 20 minutes,or there are loads of buses and the tube is 2 stops away (change at green park).obviously the best way to get around is in a cab!!!! good luck

that's nothing a strong, healthy person can't cope with ... I'm just worried about the walk back :D

"Sussex Gardens a long way" ! How Long, cos thats where I'm staying ?? Specifically asked for a hotel nr Hyde Park ! If so, would anyone suggest/tell me which way is best to get there cos I don't want earache off our lass before & after the gig !!

I lived in that area last year..if you are staying on Sussex Garden close to Bayswater Road..its about a 10 min walk..further up Sussex Gardens with be an extra 10 mins.

dont panic about the walk to and from sussex gardens,its on the north side of the park and the concerts are usually in the se corner.You can do a nice little pub crawl along the back of bayswater road on your way down!!.Hyde park corner is the nearest tube stop to the concert site,although marble arch isnt much of a walk away.I `ve suggested shepherds market as there are loads of pubs around there,although if you get chatty with any scotsman watch him try and slip out the door when its his shout!! tighter than the fucking australians............

You could see about reserving the downstairs bar of the Paxtons Head on Knightsbridge, near to Edinburgh Gate. Quite big, don't know if you'll get 100 in there.

Alternatively, there are several pubs down Kinnerton St such as The Wilton Arms, Nags Head etc. Problem is, you might bump into Chris Evans as he used to drink in them.

Other than those, I'm struggling to think of any other suitable venues and I ought to know about Knightsbridge, I worked there for 7 years in Bowater House.

2 possibles - the Marlborough Head on North Audley Street or the Audley bit further down by Mount Street - both on corners so good for standing outside - Shepherd Market mostly wine bar / restaurants.

That Marlboro Head's the Goth place ain't it? Where we met up before Paris 2002?
