Who else apart from me is from the Harrow area?
I got too pissed last night to ask one of my mates about other options around Hyde Park.
I got my train ticket TODAY.I am staying in BARNES.So let us hope there is a KFC in the area! Can't wait for this now. Will YOU be pleased to see me though?:D
Any of you well informed people know what time gig will finish. (Last train back up Leeds is 11.20pm)Can i risk it?? ![]()
Thats a bit shit, could at least stop at half ten, so they'll be on stage @ 8.30pm (old farts)![]()
The worst thing about this gig is it's 3 days off the longest day of the year. New Order will play half their set in daylight!
Same goes for Glastonbury, presumably.

That's the price of plan tickets for the round trip... oh well!
Get on to the PR people and tell them you will go in some sort of marketing/promotional capacity, and all they have to do is pay your expenses.I'm serious.Think of something. Its time you realized your are an asset to them![]()

I'm not convinced that would work.... :(
I'll throw another one in that is getting even warmer - the Rose & Crown - Old Park Lane - less than 5mins to the gates!!
Just came to me! there is a wetherspoons boozer in victoria tube station, its a fair sized place (cheap booze)easy to find and only about 15mins walk to hyde park corner. plus you got a couple of other bigish pubs outside.from there is a straight walk (or 2 stops on the bus) up grosvenor place to hyde park corner entrance to concert.

Twelve days to go and I'm expecting my ticket through the post any day now. If it gets to this Friday (17th) and hasn't arrived, I will want to know why.
Anyone here received their tickets or are we all under the ten-day thing? I booked mine on 23.3.05 so they would've had my cash for nearly three months by the time the gig goes ahead. Times that by thousands of us and the interest alone must be quite something! Big business eh?![]()
I should mention, as a Londoner, that both Shepherd's Market and Sussex Gardens are red-light areas. Should any of you out-of-towners be approached or even befriended by a chatty lady in provocative dress, chances are she will be a brass and may seek to relieve you of sundry monies as you may have on your person in the afterglow.

I was wondering the same thing about the tix, haven't received mine yet either. I'll start getting really excited for this once they've arrived :)
I'm staying at the Ramada Hyde Park. It seemed like a good idea at the time (the name would suggest it's really close) but now i'm starting to wonder how near it really is because HP is so big ![]()
Also, does anyone know what time New Order are expected to play??? My train doesn't even get in to London until 3.30pm and I want to make sure I have time to get changed and go for a few drinks before the big event ![]()

Ramada is north west side of the park, practically above Kensington Gardens.
The gig is in the south east corner of the park ![]()
Didn't someone say they'll be on about 20.30 cos they have to finish by 22.30?
Bloody hell - I'm up around Sussex Gardens as well. Do I have to walk miles or can I get the tube nearer to the entrance/designated pre-gig boozer??
I hate fucking London.![]()

Depending what end of Sussex Gardens, it's only a 5 to 10 minute walk from Marble Arch. It's only 15 minutes to the other side of Hyde Park. I should know, I walked between my offices at Edinburgh Gate and Cumberland Place often enough :\ohwell:

I'm keeping an eye on www.wirelessfestival.co.uk as they are threatening to put more info on about timings. Bands start at 1600, but there are quite a few to get through before the main attraction...
The trend just recently has been about 14 songs per gig. Surely with Wireless we'll get at least 15 considering they are the main headliner?!? I'm expecting that we'll get one song no other concert/festival has heard yet this year. Here's hoping! EGG?

Indeed, they'll probably just add She's Lost Control!
8.08am GMT I've just received my tickets. now I've got 10 days to decide what to wear : emoticon of big girly fop :
