:)

Got my flight out on Wed 25th and back on Mon 30th.

A bit of lying on the beach time catered for. Might be looking at Barca to Lisbon flights now ;)

Has everyone bought the 3 day tickets or are you holding out for the Friday only sale ??

Was there one day-tickets? Think everyone's gone for the whole shebang.

Primavera board says One day tickets on sale mid April.

Friday only tickets available now for 60 Euros.

Got mine. 60 euro + 3 euro booking. (somewhat better than your normal UK box office rip off fee  )

Only problem now is Liverpool in European Cup Final at the same time as my flight  :\ohwell:

So are the one day tickets on sale yet? I'd love to be there. Going to give it my best try, even better than seeing New Order is seeing the Stooges.

So where's everyone staying, then, so's I can get my bearings? I'm just off La Rambla, which is nice for sightseeing but miles from the venue.

Only asking 'cos I need someone to make sure I get home, bars until 6am and all that..........

ATR has booked for me and Al, somewhere near the festival site apparently. La Rambla is a top place to stay. Stopped there with Leeds Utd when we were in Champs league. Six lads in one room, which had a nice aroma in the morning as you can imagine.

Yes, paid through the fookin' nose for it as well!! I take it there's decent late-night public transport in Barca...???

Presumably you had fun Stateside, Mr Giles?

Dunno bout public transport but a major city like that should have a decent system. If you get stuck, you can always joing Dave Mol on our apartment floor !

We had a cracking time in the States, met loads of top NOOLers, saw Barney hobbling round Palm Springs Airport on crutches [arf] and Gordie played his part in keeping the British end up [if you will] amongst the female population of Chicago.

Now looking forward to some European gigs with passionate crowds ready to show their devotion to the cause.

Not personally, but I think a lot of us remember the Youth from gigs in the 80's. And the Youth! Youth! Youth! chant. They're legendary! Seem to remember a few sporting New Order tattoos too.

Met a lad, friend of a friend type, who went to see NO at Glastonbury in '87. He was wearing a Celtic shirt and spent most of the gig dodging the Youth down the front during the gig.

Was it the Youth who were at the centre of the row that kicked off at Macc Leisure Centre in '85 ?

Whatchoo talking bout Willis ? When did you sleep on the floor ? You've just had 10 days quality accomodation from yours truly :D You even had a single room on one night thanks to Gord :evil4:

How's your origami coming along ? I want some paper swans out of you by the time we're in Barca !

go to Barca metro and click L4 - the site is at El Maresme | Fòrum Station, so any where along the line is a good bet for a hotel - Hotel Rialto for instance is only stumbling distance from the Ramblas and bang on the metro - Hotel Rialto

Presumably said yoof have grown up and don't fight no more? I'm afraid my flag pays homage to both the greatest football club in North Staffordshire (clue: not Port Vale) as well as the Order, and I could happily live without rabid Blackburn fans trying to kill me because of it...

So if I wear a Celtic top I'll get stiffened?:uhoh:

Barca should be fun then:thumb:

Look forward to meeting you lads, any one have a copy of a new order interview in either sounds or melody maker, think it was titled "Blackburns red rose keeps the new order flag flying" from the mid 80's i think.

Rabid Blackburn lads, how dare you, the nerve. You from Stoke, you support Stoke, respect. Give us a shout if you spot my B/burn flag. Did have a massive Hacienda Blackburn flag from the hac nights that ran in Blackburn, lost the Bastard in Portugal.

Yeah, I've got it. Melody Maker, I think, end of 1986. I'd scanned it for this site years ago but the find option here is gone so can't find the thread. Unless anyone beats me to it I'll post it up towards the end of the week cos I'm out for the next three nights.
