The Blurb:
This year OXEGEN will be broadcast across Europe by MTV.
Denis Desmond of MCD commented 'for OXEGEN to sell out so far in advance in its short history is an incredible achievement and goes to show that the event has already established itself as one of the most important events in the Irish music calendar. The stature of the artists is phenomenal with Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Snoop Dogg, Prodigy, Keane and many more'
Don't think Oxegen is being broadcast live. There's nowt in the schedules at the moment anyhow. There's highlights of TITP on Sky Digital Channel 941 - (BBC1 Scotland) for an hour on Saturday at 23.25.
And I sure hope some people will share with the non-europeans here.... ![]()
DVD, sending MPEG files over, anything!

Complete?.With WFTSC and BLT?
.When the fuck was that broadcast?![]()
It was. If you have BBC3 with a "red button" you could choose a stage and watch an entire gig. So they claimed on the Website. I have BBC3, but not the interactive element.

It wasn't...
(I -do- have BBC3 with interactive)

The interactive bit never worked properly. They made a right arse of it. At one stage they switched the audio and video feeds over, so you could see Keane and hear the Bunnymen, or hear Keane and see the Bunnymen! Only the Beeb could do that ![]()
Indeed, the implication was that by pressing red we'd be able to chose wheteher we watched NO or Kasabian - however in reality all that was available were two channels showing highlights from earlier in the day.
At least that's what happened on Freeview. Satellite may have been different but I haven't seen any evidence to the contrary. AFAIK, the two songs previously mentioned from NO's set were not broadcast.
Satellite was exactly the same. I understand that they had some tech difficulties at the Beeb and had to rethink the original broadcast plans.
There were no cameras at all on the New Order stage so dont expect anything to be broadcast on TV!
Whether or not they had any on the sound and lighting rig half way back in the crowd I dont know but it seems likely they were just filming the main stage :(
