Just heard from Ness, she spoke to the box office! New Order from 10.25-10.45. Super Furry Animals on before. Fall are on first.

And NO ONE is allowed entry whilst a band is playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blimey, that's quite a few beers between 2pm and 10pm !!

This is not fucking good.

Our train home is at 11.15, and it takes roughly 30 minutes to get from Waterloo to St Pancras. Why do I get the feeling we're only gonna see 1 bastard song :nonono:

Full line up from the nice man at the box office:

The Fall 6.30-6.50 Laura Cantrell 7.10-7.30 Jawbone 7.40-8.00 Misty in Roots 8.20-8.40 Venetian Snares 8.55-9.25 SFA 9.35-9.55 New Order 10.25-10.45

Curfew is strict and is set at 10.45. If it's all dragging a bit (as it inevitably will) then they will cut from the comperes and the little films between each band rather than cutting New Order's set. No entry permitted while the bands are on 'cos it's all being recorded for broadcast tomorrow night.

A 20 min set eh? Just time to do a decent airing of Everything's Gone Green I assume???!

Am I missing something?! A full half-hour for the Venetian Snares?!

And less than one minute for every year of New Order's history?!

:eek3:

There does appear to be a full half-hour between the SFA's and New Order though. They should put that to better use!

I'm a bit miffed!

Why are The Fall on first?

I was quite looking forward to seeing them - but our train doesn't get into Victoria until 18.29...!!!

Chris :confused2:

Looks like this maybe a strange end to my 9 gigs (+ 1 comedy show) in 14 nights frenzy...

Shug - you need to accept the fact that you're gonna have to suffer. I sat outside Euston sweat-soaked in the freezing cold until 5am after one of their 2001 Brixton shows, and I knew when I bought the ticket that that's what I'd have to do. Could you really tear yourself away after just one tune?????? :confused2:

Sounds like a cunning attempt to make sure we get through the door at 6.30 when it opens, rather than all invading after 9ish for the real deal...

I was hoping we'd get to go in later as the only band other than NO i'm interested in is the fall.

Doors at 6.30 for me... but maybe we can go out again and come back later...?

 :confused2:

Total Cunt to be honest.

We paid 30 notes for Train tickets - which are now getting thrown in the bastard bin :nonono:

Poor ole Lorraine is gonna drive us down, which means she can't drink!!! Total bastard. We will now be doing the usual and dumping the car at Finchley, just so we don't miss anything.

The lenghts you have to go. They had better dedicate Temptation to us after all this

This was posted on another band's forum early this morning:

New Order Vikings are a bunch of *****

Sumner once said "Our audience are made up of 50% students and 50% football hooligans". We got the worst of both I reckon. Most of them stayed in the bar missing all the other acts (joining in the spirit of the night, then). When they finally took their seats, the Peel tributes and whoever was on stage at the time were drowned out by moronic shouts of "Nuuu Orrrrderrrr", from caned red neck arseholes, who hilariously looked utterly dismayed when Barney announced: "We're not playing any New Order tonight". The dickbrain who shouted for 'World in Motion' throughout Transmission and She's Lost Control was just about bearable cos he obviously didn't have a fuckin' clue, but the wanker next to him who expressed his machismo by his cretinous, unbearable singing along to Love Will Tear Us Apart while elbowing everyone in sight needs to die now in a horrible car accident.

Don't mean to slag off the fans of what were my favourite band for twenty-odd years, but there you go.

Thank God we're not like that.

(or perhaps we are)

A tad extreme. Is there anyone here who was gutted that they only played Joy Division, and not New Order?!

I thought not.

Yeah, I wanted a set of Stiff Kittens numbers!

Well done for to everybody for keeping us people in far flung corners of the world up to date.

How bitter and twisted some people are !

You obviously never got New Order Live, or you do not like people enjoying themselves.

I actually chose not to go, after problems with my car, shite day at work etc, and on learning it was a 20 minute set. I don't think Barney can sing Joy Division songs and do them justice, so I am not too dissapointed I missed it, I have always beenmore of a NEW ORDER Fan.

I would have like to met up with everyone, but as I said I had had a shite day.

But I am PLEASED that ALL the NOOLers had a GREAT TIME.

I am sure I will now join ROCKET MICK as a lightweight.

Anyone who wants the ticket as a memory email me, first come first served.

AL! Cocteau's DVD's posted today.

Lighten up a bit, lifes too short

P.S. I still hate the CURE

Don't think it was 'Tom' saying this, Mike, he was just reporting it.

Thanks for DVDs though, top man.

Have had a look through Fall and Super Furry forums and can find nish, so no idea where this came from.

Pathetic though really. But it's a craze the internet has spawned. Gutless cunts who wouldn't say boo to a goose now have the 'privilege' to slag all and sundry from behind their keyboards. Scum.

A Viking shouting for World In Motion though?! Shug, maybe?!

Anyways, glad to think that, for some, showing respect for Peel entails sitting through Venetian Snares or listening to Delia reminisce. I wore one of these enamel badges, instead, as did all and sundry from this site who stopped in the pub/bar till the Order took the stage. Shoot me, eh?

John Peel RIP.

Might just be a wind-up anyways. Don't know why someone feels the need to repeat this sort of thing, even if it's only reporting it, as only their 2nd post. There's so many more +ve things to talk about. Oh well.

Hiya folks especially the rude vikings who ruined that studious guys night. He must be american

Im on the Fxcking cruise off the coast of mexico on a ship where I even look slim amongst our english talking friends. Have just seen a yank who looks the image of Alex they are everywhere arent they. Hope hooky found some one else to abuse hopefully Alex. How was Darren Al.Gutted to have missed it but hey at leave they did not play Perfect kiss or ceremony.

Me im off line dancing in a minute followed by bingo before i have to eat the world. Hope Giles behaved himself with Helen and Gordy did not get to wild at the front . was there any stomping? Can not beleive we had to come here on the same week that they play such a small venue. Hasta La vista

:abovelol:

Complaining we weren't there to watch all the acts and then complaining that we ruined them all by shouting

It was funny though, listening to the Radio 1 stuff tonight and hearing Griff from SFA introduce one of their songs, followed by a loud NEWWWWWW OR-DERRRRRR from a voice in the crowd :evil4:

Yes, it is.

I do like BSP but their fans scare me. They're a bunch of weirdos. I never feel comfortable to post in the BSP forum.
