For those of you who are interested, I've just found out that the THIRD member of the Stoke/New Order collective Danny (aka Gin Soaked Boy) has my flag. I left it with him during ACR as I went to the bar and, apparently, never came back. Which is pretty much the story of my life.
Doctor Clayhead's tear-soaked face is a looking bit happier now, though I'm gutted that I won't have it with me tomorrow.
I'm sure Allen will be delighted with this news!

Got a chance to meet a few more folks at the JB and Fab Cafe afterwards. Not sure I remember everyone's name (I'm terrible with them) but you were a lovely bunch! Hope there's another gathering before I depart these shores. No probs for the ticket, Conor! Thanks to Al for the badge too!
I think I must've had the best spot in the house. Got a place on the barrier in front of Hooky but managed somehow to be unsquashed all night! Looked like the mayhem was going on a bit to the left of me. Really wish I'd brought the camera now. The same songs were winners for me again, & glad they played She's Lost Control and Atmosphere both.

Martin, I may have to hold the flag as a hostage. No.1 demand that will need to be met to get it released without further harm is a copy of the Brixton gig CD :) There is a faint chance (so don't get your hopes up) that I may be able to get over to North London or at worst Euston tomorrow afternoon. If you check your e-mail you'll see you've got my phone number. Give me a call in the morning and I'll see if I can move a few things (everything) around.

A word for Danny....mate, this is the Stoke Order. We stick together, but you've got the flag as hostage! You can't do it! It will cause all sorts of trouble.... Just let go of the flag...(I don't think Doc has got a Brixton CD anyway)

german order is back in Cologne,It was a very great night and this years best concert,good to see all the friends from allover.
nobody knows wheres the german Order Flag,i think its in Barneys Bag.

If I can't make London tomorrow I'll be at Stoke v Derby on Tuesday at the worst.
After my 24hr round trip from Scotland to Mancland and back I'm pretty knackered but very chuffed to have been at the Apollo last night The band really did sound on top form! After 3 songs at the front I decided to wuss out to the side but still had an amazing view of Hooky and his low slung antics for the rest of the gig. I shifted mainly because of increasingly tender ribs and the realisation I was a shortarse compared to just about everyone in front of me on the barriers 
Highlights for me were Ceremony, Turn, Temptation and Warsaw: fantastic! Although before the encore I was a bit underwhelmed when Blue Monday kicked in but when Barney joined Phil on his keyboard and briefly hammered out the synth line to Perfect Kiss I got pretty excited about what the encore might hold in store. They never did play TPK of course (teasing bastards! :D) but the JD tracks were no less welcome, loved Phil's jamming towards the end of Warsaw; they seem to be a really tight unit these days.
Shouts go out to everyone who was in Joshua Brooks and that tiny pub outside the Apollo (I forget the name) including Nick, Colin (cheers for the badge!), Dr Clayhead, Tim, Shug, Baldrick, Liam, Al J, Wino + husband, Rocket Mick (top geezer!), Digital Mike (cheers for the Brixton CDR!), DoN and Ness... loads really, everyone was on top form and apologies if I've forgotten anyone.
Even got to shake Andy Robinson's hand and say hello outside the venue cool guy.

Where to begin.
I am alive and was not abducted by aliens and didn't end up ion hossy or anything. I thought we should clear that up as so many of you seemed to care an enormous amount about my condition (touched doesn't come close). Things did however go a little sideways for the middle part of NO's set, this caused many interesting things to occur by way of payment for me missing (yes MISSING) about 5 songs and hearing rather than seeing another couple.
I'll get to all the details in my next posting, which will be along in no time I expect. "Das Fullenmontei" you might say.
Let me conclude the edited highlights by saying....
I love each and every one of you mental cunts! After 20 years, I'd built New Order up to such an enormous mountain of hype in my head, that I was really setting my self up to be dissappointed, and sure enough, by about 4 bars into ceremony I realised, I'D BEEN A TOTAL SHIT AND GAUL STONE SMOOTIE DRINKING GRADE A OCEAN GOING MORON-MINDED CUNT FOR EVER HAVING THOUGHT SO L I T T L E OF THEM OH MY GOOD $DEITY

hi any off you guys get to go to the manchester gig , i went on thursday it was great new order were in top form, although i thought when they played crystal the sound went not good in the middle part of song it did sound a bit ropey !! but the guys were fantastic and i loved the old j/division songs shes lost control was excellent.

Good to meet the Scottish and Burnley Order in the Dry Bar before. Ta for getting me to the gig safely - wouldn't have known where I was going otherwise.
Good to see loads of familiar faces - sure I said hi to loads of people but can't remember who.
And ta for Will for getting me back into town safely.

I was doing really well right up the front beside you Ness until I realised that I wasn’t breathing. I was adjusting to that until someone came flying over my head and almost decapitated me. Old Monkey helpfully pushed him the rest of the way over the barrier to save us.
Uncle Liam – cheers for the pint of lager which you slopped over everyone at the front – I think it was a cunning plan to get us to move.

What a great night – with Barney dancing his little heart out.
Al – thanks for your concern – I was having a great time but had to internalise my excitement for the last part of the gig as I was bloody knackered.

I'm overjoyed that Clayhead got his flag back. In the middle of my own bogus adventure (the telling of which I'm still trying to work myself up to), I bumped into him, out by the side, looking like something between a shellshock patient and a fresh-ish corpse, eyes not on the band, but sweeping the crowd like a man possessed.

On the left speaker it said RIP and PHIL, on the right one it said VALHALLA and CHUBB/GRUBB. Nice touch by the boys, as was Bernard having his photo taken with Darren. Meant an awful lot.
