Fookin' hell - I spend 2 years in that fucking granite cesspit and then just as I leave, both Durutti Column and fucking Hooky come to town. Jesus fucking wept!

Colin - we'll talk about this at forthcoming gigs, but if it happens I'll almost certainly be booking a space on your couch!

I should stay away - knowing my luck, Ian Curtis and Elvis will come out of hiding for a special New Years' Eve gig at the Lemon Tree....

Seems to be legit - there's more info here - Mani has had to postpone his date, btw, as promotion for Primal Scream takes precedence. Apparently, more info will be available if you sign up here.

Enjoy - last time I was up in Aberdeen, I saw 808 DJ at the Lava Club (in Belmont Street) in 2001 - they were going to be playing live in Dundee the next night. After only a couple of hours sleep, breakfast was at the Frankenstein (?) pub... That was quite a night! :spit:

Bit too far for me to come up for just a Hooky DJ set though! :)

I did post this on DR a few days ago, but you're right it should have been posted on here.

The tunnels is tiny, i saw ladytron there a few weeks back. Cool place though.

Oh, it's the Tunnels - you're right, seriously nice little venue. How big's your couch, Colin? I'm perfecting me Barney running-on-the-spot-dance in preparation....

Hi, i'm the promoter for the Aberdeen gig (I also promoted Hooky's gig in Shetland a couple of months ago).

The gig is taking place in a new club in Aberdeen called Lo-Down which is just across from the Tunnels in Carnegie Brae, Aberdeen.

The club has a 600 capacity.

Support is provided by Paul Mackie who was the singer in the Stone Roses tribute band Fools Gold (they played at the recreated Hacienda set for the 24 HR Party People film), he will be performing an acoustic set to kick off the night.

Hooky is up first DJing from 11pm - 1am, followed by Jon Dasilva who will DJ some Hacienda classics through until 3am.

Tickets for what should be an extraordinary night in Aberdeen are available from One Up in Belmont Street, Aberdeen.

Can you buy tickets on the web because I don't think I'll be in Aberdeen before the date of the gig!

If not, when I get back to Aberdeen next week we can have a round-up of who wants tickets and I'll walk into town and get them.

Once bitten, twice bitten - let's have a sweep on how many I get left with this time :nono:

Just got my tickets for 9th Dec - "Hacienda Revival - Hooky, John da Silva and an acoustic set by P Mac (Ex Fools Gold)"

£14 + £1.50 booking fee .

Lucky I bought them today - my tickets are numbered 00008, 00009, 00010 and 00011! What's the betting they'll be letting people in for a fiver on the night? I know for a fact that Ally and his brother have tickets - wonder who the other five are?

BIGINOIL-

Gutted. I'm going offshore tomorrow somewhere outta holland. So unless I get back quickly i won't be able to go.

It's typical as I have just got a job in the office and this will be my last trip offshore.

I will deffo be up for meeting if I get home in time.
