Plenty of organising to do now, so at least a couple of months will be needed to sort the venue, bands, DJs, accom etc.

My personal recommendation would be April (over Easter), but it's over to you guys.

Manchester won the location vote fair and square, let's see what happens with the date. Of course we don't know if the Order are planning any gigs yet.....

Oh not Rainchester, it amazes me that people place so mouch importance on the place, just cause New Order come from there.

What about Ilson, Robet Lindsay and Ken Barlow come from here

I went for the Easter bank holiday. It will give me time to get my arse back from Switzerland. Anyone want any decent Easter eggs bringing back?!! Hmmmm, Swiss chocolate...:love2:

Easter holiday Monday April 17th sounds good to me. Lorraine's birthday is on the 14th and i will be celebrating another victory over the the forces of darkness on the 15th, providing they finish in the top 6. :D Should be a good weekend. :thumb:

Errr, either London or Manchester would be okay with me, just don't send me anywhere further when I'm not even being able to cross the road properly, you know the opposite traffic and stuff, almost got hit by a car once. But why am I telling all this bollocks? Actually I'm not bothered with the date, not that I'm really dying to come over in February, I'll be freezing my arse off here already. I'd really appreciate if I got to know the exact date at least a month before the holy event takes place, you know papers, papers, fooking papers ...

I wouldn't say this to just anyone - just you and sam - are welcome (after spending the night in Manc) to live rent free with us in Brummie Land (albeit a little bit more upmarket than Brum - Tim respsond in your own time). !!! for as long as you want - but, cos of the time of year you are expected to help with revision, homework in general and we may have to call upon you if any member of staff gets sick or anything.apart from that, no strings, just don't expect lifts in the Beemer, it's the fridge van - not the exterior obviously - babysitting is optional, cat clearing up is not however, and you must like rotweillers because he lives in our house more than his own (ooh, meowww!) Life in the suburbs heh? Oh, and as a plus, if you are any good at bookkkeeping, and I mean 'GOOD' you can stay for an unlimited amount of time! How does that sound? PS I am a good cook!

Call Andy Robinson to make sure they do a gig the day before/after and I'll be there :evil4:

Seriously though, don't let this affect the result, but in the summer, if New Order does gigs, I want to come by.. but how bad would it be if the date would fell on a NO concert date!!

Hook Minor, front and centre sir!

what'll we open the bribes at?

EDIT, I wouldn't worry about it spotty old chap....any summer gig is still going to have the obligatory pre-gig lashathon I'm quite sure.

Maya, you poor self doubting little lamb. Do you really think for one millisecond, that if we were having this, in Chorley or NI or some other god forsaken candidate for the place where the universe will be given an enema if it needs one......that this lot would leave you to fend from yourself from Heathrow? Even if we hold this up a mountain in Wales, you just worry about getting to Londinium or mankfester....both cities will be sending a contingent, they'll worry about getting you the triffling last few miles. And I'm FAIRLY sure a chick with an exotic (ahem) accent, will be able to find someone to hold her hand for crossing roads....whether they'll let go again I sunno, but you can always use some of that KGB training and kill or criplle them with a bread roll or something.

April should be ok fer me an all.

Gone with the flow of Easter; although public transport will be royally buggered for those of us without a car... Guess this means staying up for a few days... Still Warrington's the home town, so could look up a few places (nearly everyone I know has left the damn place now (including family!))

Er, why not January. When New Order play in Manchester?!

Primarily because it will be almost impossible to get it all sorted in such a short space of time - any venue worth its salt has already got bookings for January, whereas we stand a chance with one of the predominantly student venues over Easter. Were it just to be a piss-up then yes it would make sense for January, but as we are hoping to have so much more to it, then it's a logistical mare at this stage. April we stand a chance.

Not sure if i can make it at EASTER but it seems like this is the best option for most.Would be sad to miss this but i have had an offer i maybe NOT refuse. But i am sure i will be there in SPIRIT.:hat:

I went for August, June might be OK too, but theres no way i'll get there any time before June:cry:

If you want people to come from outside the U.K, I think the best choice is August…

Second : you'll have the time to work on the organization. I think April is a little bit too soon if you want to make a big event.

Let's face it, we ain't gonna get more than 100 or so turn up. People never do, unless we sell tickets in advance.
