Just got back from Scouserland, not a bad gig 
but as has already been reported the security had nothing going on between the ears. I was grabbed and pulled back from the barrier a number of times but didn't realise how many they'd thrown out 'til we got outside.
Anyway, here are some photies I salvaged from my camera. Somehow I got quite a few of Hooky even though he was (supposed to be) on the other side of the stage! :D

At the very start of the gig, during LWTUA I think. (Note security deciding which punters to randomly eject)
Numerous shots of Hooky when he wandered over to our side of the stage
Barney in the closing minutes of Blue Monday, probably searching for the "off" button.
Apart from the security issue (especially the fat cnut who said to me "I've told you four times (lie) now to move back to your seat - one more time, and I'll chuck you out"), the gig and the meet-up were fantastic! A letter will be drafted and sent to Liam - I can't believe that a similar experience didn't happen at the previous day's "The Who" gig (or maybe it did)?
Brilliant to meet up with you all in the pub - Missy Jem has already named everyone - another fine meet-up, and (aside from the bouncers), the locals were very hospitable - even the poor barmaid in the Devonshire Hotel who wasn't expecting all of us to stay up drinking in the hotel bar until past 2am!
Anyway, looking forward to Madrid/Barca from Thursday onwards - it'll be a much better gig, all-standing in shorts and t-shirts/hawaiian shirts (!) in beautiful sunshine and no security people telling you to sit down - bliss!

Had a great time as usual,seeing all the old faces and a couple of new ones. Thoroughly enjoyed the gig, but wasn't happy to see Mick getting shunted out :( I SAID we needed to keep him on a lead, but did anyone listen? Got my complaint letter ready anyhow.
Other than that, a great weekend and Tricia spent the first half of the set in tears as she was that impressed!
After gig, we reckoned we wouldn't be able to find any other NOOLers, so went back to the Adelphi and finished off a couple of cans and a bottle of gin. Think we retired around 4am, though not sure. Spent this morning chatting to the homeless in St John's gardens, sharing beers, pasties, smokes and a few stories. Liverpool's changed alot since I left, but nice to know some things are still the same. NOOLers - great laugh and friendly as always. Scousers - lovely bunch, hospitable and great for a chat.
Security and the busies? Well, I would say that both can F**K off, but what would be the point?
Oh, sod it - the 'Pops' security w**kers can f**k off and die (hopefully) and the Merseyside Cuntstabulary? Well, they just haven't changed at all... really looking forward to playing Liverpool with my band now... :\ohwell:

The best till last. The people I went to the gig with- Barney Army and some New Order peeps who don't always frequent this site- had the best time, you are all ACE!

p.s apart from security, as has been mentioned, the gig was brilliant- especially when we broke free and made it to the front!

Still, much fun was had: great to see everyone (again!), and much love to Lunatic Fridge and his lad who danced the night away with us!
managed to get a room. rang tourist info and got a v nice room at the Thistle.Wasn`t cheap but got upgraded so not complaining.
Gig was fantastic, we were on aisle of row pp but managed to keep sneaking to the front to take the odd photo til Temptation came on and we just made a run for it and ignored all things yellow!
My only complaint is that Barney didn`t come over to our side (right) but Hooky is the best.
Cannot wait for October ...
Great gig, great set. YSF and TPK my highlights. Some mates with us who I haven't seen since Old Trafford gig just added that little bit more to the general good vibe.
Yellowcoats and the rozzers were total twats. Good on Hooky for giving security verbal what-for.
Had a good night at the Krazy House afterwards. Not as 'Indie' as it was a decade ago when I used to frequent their but top time all the same.
Missy Jem, lovely to meet you outside during nicotine fix. Totally random. Thank you very much for the water. I'm sure our paths will cross again and I insist on repaying your kindness.
Must admit didn't get up to general silliness of doing roly polys in hostel but there was a hen party opposite our room who had a picnic in the corridor at 5am(ish) and kept asking us to be quiet?????

Sorry for those of you who didn't like your time in Liverpool, But dont blame all of us for it.I've had bad experiences with buoncers in several cities but its never stopped me going back to concerts all over the UK.

Having spoken to loads of the people on here today, it seems that there were at least 10 ejected for little more than dancing. In Rocket Mick's case this is fully justified.

Fcuk me, there's always moirders when people from this site get together, eh?! Still, gives us all summat to talk about till the next one.
Quality weekender, as ever. Special thanks for man of the moment, PHD. Makes a shit Phil Mitchell looky-likey, but perfect mein host. What a top idea to choose a boozer called the Snorter House. Er, just a pity there was only one cubicle in the lads loos.
Cheers to JG, Wolfram, Leggy D and Nick King for making excellent travelling companions too. Always good to shoot the shit with like-minded individuals.
Well done though to Garymac, Wolfram and Rocket for finding the ejector button so quickly. Possibly the best place to watch the gig?! The band really weren't on best form here, were they? Hooky didn't look happy one bit. He's a born show-off and when there's no audience interaction to show off to, he looks a little lost and misplaced. It wasn't so much the bouncers who killed the atmosphere, it was the venue itself. All seaters and the Order just don't mix. Yes, they were over zealous fcukers but there's obviously rules and regulations they were expected to adhere to, and stick to their jobs they did. Why the fcuk they actually had police inside the venue though is beyond me. We had two stood right next to Hooky. I've never seen that in all my years of gigging. Police inside a venue. Makes you wonder why they were there? A venue should be policing itself with no outside interference.
Highlight of the night for me was being stood outside in the carpark handing a beer over to Wolfram through the iron gates after he'd been ejected, only for Rocket to then go flying past me with an arm up his back. It was a proud moment for me to have witnessed.
Brilliant also was the eye candy on offer in the Snorter House. These drink-ups are becoming so much more easier on the eye these days. 
And, you really can't go mugging off all Scousers for their inhospitality, making crass generalisations. For me, most of you lot are all just fackin Norverners anyways, so stop squabbling amongst yourselves.

only my second gig, gutted that i didn't get to see more than 3 songs. thought the bouncers were very unfair. As i was following cousin john out the bouncer asked what i was doing and i said i'm coming out with him, he replied that he's not gettig thrown out he'll be back in soon, i didn't believe him for one second so i carried on following them, as i thought he throw him straight out of the gate. No need to lie to me at all, i don't know how these guys get the power.
Other than that i had a brilliant day, roll on Wembley Arena, hopefully i'll get to see the whole set this time

Have to say, i didn't notice anything on the security issue. I was wondering why Hooky was getting stuck into them and now i know. It's crazy that these lot get employed and treat people like vermin. To think we were paying their wages as well.
It seems a few folks were not too keen on their visit to Liverpool. Fair dues. It does depend on what happens on the night i suppose. I've been to Manchester to see bands (went to see the La's last year which is a bit of a reversal, seeing a Liverpool band in Manchester) and it's always varied on the night i've had, even down the Canal (ooer) area was alright, for a Tuesday night anyway!
I don't suppose anyone made a recording of the show last night?
