Oh, what a load of shit.

As if anyone's going to pay in advance for something like that.

You just all spill round when the gigs over, or you don't.

They've missed out on a cracking night there :nono:

Err...where the hell could you buy advance tickets.

Oh well may as well drive home after the gig now.

So much for the special event down by the seaside!!!

Gig downgraded due to lack of ticket sales, official aftershow cancelled.

They will probably storm off after an hour long set!!!!!

Which would be nice..............

All starting to get a bit shit, isn't it?

As long as the band feel like it and give us a good show it'll still be OK though.

Certainly is - 4 hour train journey, two hour flight, dump stuff in hotel, quick beer, gig, straight to bed in some crappy hotel then the whole fucking journey in reverse the next day - could think of better ways to spend 48 hours.

How strange. If the aftershow party has been cancelled, the opera house really need to sort out their website! They're still advertising it on the main page and also have a flyer on rotation in the bottom right hand corner!

We're definitely up for doing something after the show though :thumb:  :thumb:

This will be my 1st NO since the NEC in 90, reasons too various to mention, a lack of interest from the locals isnt going to dampen my enthusiasm. My drinking companion and I will be arriving in Bournemouth around mid-afternoon with the intention of getting on it for a pair of hours, enjoying a top gig and then climbing onboard the oblivion bus until the wee hours, some two bob nightclub's lack of get up and go isnt going to spoil it, there will be plenty more watering holes to frequent. your night out will be what you make it

Certainly not - 4 hour train journey and two hour flight getting battered with Roy, dump stuff in hotel, more beer with more mates, NEW ORDER, more drinks with everyone, few hours sleep, brekkie, goodbye pints and get battered with Roy all the way home! What better way to spend 48 hours?

Right well that's 4 of us, all we need now is a starting point, "4 return tickets to oblivion please my good man"

Lucky bastards. I don't even have the option of oblivion. Five hour drive down, sip coke timidly in the pub while every else gets hammered, New Order let me down with a set that 3 month old baby could predict, drive back to Stoke in foul strop, get a few hours sleep before 10 am lecture to bored undergraduates.

Pah.

The Opera House,

Why is the New Order gig still advertised on the website! Hopefully that means it is going ahead!

I let the fans know of what you said about the lack of interest etc for the after show party - have you viewed www.neworderonline.com and the messages boards about the bournemouth gig!! There are fans travelling from all over the place for this so called special event!! I think you will find the interest are the hundreds of fans coming from away from bournemouth ho are totally up for a mad new order themed night!! We must keep this gig going, here are a few of the messgaes posted after i broke the sad news!!:

1.Gutted! Will there be anything else arranged? 4 of us are coming down to stay overnight and were looking forward to continuing through the night.....

2.Oh, what a load of shit.

Above is the poster from the opera house website - advertsising the event! it is also organised/sponsored by the looks of it by www.neworderonline.com - so neworderonline what has happened, surely you know of the fans great disapointment and the numbers that wish to go!

Most people seem to put the neworderonline.com link on now, as it os widely recognised as the nearest there is to a functional and meaningful official site. It doesn't mean that the site have been involved with the organisation of the event.

Oh right that is good to know, do you also think that although the loacl interest may not be extensive the fan base interest is on a large scale??

Fanbase interest is considerable - people are coming from all over the world for these gigs!

What would be your advice!!! Do you think if i can proove to the opera house it is viable they may keep it going?? Do you have any idea of the amount of fans going to the gig at present??

I would expect there will be in the region of 150 people who regularly use this site at the gig, plus double that who attend all the gigs if they can. It's a Monday night though, not the best of nights for a night away.

At the end of the day, the Opera House know what is best for them. It's them who make the loss if it doesn't go well, them who have staff to pay etc. We will be able to find a late bar somewhere regardless!

Snow ball's chance in hell, but is anyone venturing back to/near London after the gig?

Well lets just see what the Opera house have to say now?? There are plently of late night bars open, some are pretty good, its having the room if people are wanting to stick together and know one another from the sight or just want to party with the new order fans. If the party doesnt go ahead i gould find out what bar is opening, or one that wouldnt mind a load of new order fans in!! Yeah email me direct with any views for the opera house or whatever! Heidi

Heidi is our leader Heidi is our leader Na na na na!

There's loads of us staying in town that night and most will be looking for a beer and a chat after the gig.

Heidi, you can be in charge: choose a bar that's open late and post it's name here on a new thread called "The Bournemouth Afterparty".

Include any info you can like directions, type of night.

Avoid anywhere with a dress code, cover charge and expensive bar if you can!

Ask Tim to stick your thread to the top of the board.

See you there straight after the gig :thumb:

Heidi: more effective than a whole herd of us twats

It's their loss frankly, those of us who wish to continue apres Order, will not be stopped, tho I confess I may be sneaking back to my hotel, cos I am suffering from acute numptyitis.

Most of the senior vikings[1] would appear to be capable of getting shitfaced in Mecca, laid in a convent, and getting let into the Dorchester wering a pink tutu and fuck all else.

[1]what were viking leaders called I wonder? Maybe we should designate anyone with 100+ gigs a berserker?

Certainly not - 4 hour train journey and two hour flight getting battered with Roy, dump stuff in hotel, more beer with more mates, NEW ORDER, more drinks with everyone, few hours sleep, brekkie, goodbye pints and get battered with Roy all the way home! What better way to spend 48 hours?

:jump:

Col, I was looking at our schedule mate, and I think we might need to give brekkie a miss
