THE POSTER ON THE VENUE DOOR WAS FOR THE AFTERSHOW PARTY NOT EVEN THE GIG - AS A LOCAL IN BOURNEMOUTH THERE WAS HARDLY A MENTION OF THE GIG - A BIG MISTAKE!

It was great to meet so many of you, most of you thoroughly drunk, as i was at 1am - iam personally glad that it didnt go on anylonger from a personal point of view as i wouldnt of lasted!So glad for the day off - iam deaf and a little hungover! Apologies for those that wanted to continue to party longer, but licensing iam afraid was involved in the stopping of the fab dj. As it was arranged only at the end of last week, we couldnt extend it after this time. Please could all those that attended give me some feedback from the aftershow gig - apologies for the none attendnace of the band - looks like they had a curfew! The management did say that two would possibly come - so sorry for the letdown. Great to see gabrielles wish made and effort and partied hard! I must thank Marc007 for being such a great guy - he bought me the only one of the appriciation drinks - thanks guys! But i did meet missyjem also - what a great lass! Many others came and said hi including Clive and many drunken fans! Jonathan was very impressed with my efforts but no flowers as yet ha ha! He was glad to meet so many fans with a common interest! Just glad you had something to go to continue your evening. Looking forward to your messages.

What a load of rubbish Bournemouth shows was,where was the different show more dancier music we were told to expect. NO different NO songs,spent good money to stay down there only good thing was the after party.

Too tired to function after two hours sleep! Whose idea was it to let a crowd come back to our room until 5am and order room service?? :)

I took quite a few pics from the front of the gig, so should get them posted today, if I can stay awake. Greg took a few of pre and post shows activities too.

Amazing to see everyone as usual. Loved the gig, it was the size of the venue and proximity of crowd to the stage, being able to see the eyelets in Hookys trainers and all that. B & H had opted for a rather sophisticated co-ordinated look for once. Bernard's humour was of the usual calibre! Didn't know wether to laugh or cry when he repeatedly checked his watch following the pause after 'now I stand here waiting ....' - groan!!!

Aftershow was great, almost surreal with so many people you know in one club. Great to put faces to names as always.

well I thoroughly enjoyed last night. The sound of which is quite literally still ringing in my ears...

yes, the venue was a bit naff and, yes, the setlist was not the most enlightened but I thought it went off. Maybe that was because I arrived with just moments to spare. Unfortunately, I was screwed by work and my best laid plans to join fellow noolers for pre-gig drinks fell by the wayside as I was still at my desk in Wiltshire at 6:45... (also meant my viking badge collection is one poorer...) but I made it in time and got down to the fron without to much bother. But once there the "bother" was all of my own making ;)

It was good to see so many familiar faces, though I'm useless with names, though I did recognise Digi mike and NessOrder (of course), and get to say "thanks" to Shug before getting 'moved'.

No doubt more will come to me, but just to say hello to all those I met and goodbye to those I didn't get the chance to say it too last night. Cheers

Just got back - ears still ringing...

Got my shirt from DigiMike in the post in the morning, but didn't know where pre-drinks were and got to the venue just in time, so didn't get the chance to meet up with anybody...

I stayed with the missus rather than heading up front - I'm sure I recognised some of you at the aftershow though.

Hopefully meet some of you at Wolves instead. Enjoyed the gig - TPK resonated the whole room - but agree that the acoustics were a bit ropy.

We were standing right at the front but off to the right - directly in front of where Hooky stood on the crates when he came forward. Terrific vantage point, but I have to say I was seriously worried about my hearing! At times I needed to have fingers in both ears to stop the pain, it was so loud. As an old-timer it kinda brought a lump to my throat to see them do These Days, always one of my favourite JD songs. Shadowplay too was magnificent.

A bit disappointed with the selection off the latest album - they did none of my favourites (i.e. Dracula's Castle, Jetstream, Hey Now What You Doing, Guilt Is A Useless Emotion) but that's a minor quibble. Perfect Kiss was a bit of a mess but I thought Blue Monday was more together than the famous TOTP version!

First saw these guys at De Montfort Hall Leicester in '79 on the Buzzcocks tour, and it's so nice to know at least some of the choices I made in my youth are still being vindicated

ha ha, was ready to put my lovely shots up here but they are all pretty piss poor, especially in comparison to the buddy david baileys on here.

Wow! Loved every minute of last night! Thought the band and the atmosphere was amazing. Wasn't really expecting a mosh pit but damn glad there was one! The acoustics were a bit pants but loved it nevertheless!

Fav Memories of last night include:-

• the two pilled up guys talking to me and my mates about how we were about 10 years below the average age of the audience, then started dancing like looney's to the support acts and were ushering us to join in with their antics.

• the guy who was talking to us at length about the state of british politics - who we then shouted Gordon Brown at for the remainder of the evening and in return for our efforts got a card with 'Ankle Bone Connected To The Knee Bone' printed on it - it now has pride of place on my desk! - We entitled him (Very originally) 'Political Guy'. His dancing at the aftershow party was class!

-When the band dropped Ceremony and the mosh pit was in full swing - my feet are battered and bruised now!

-And....well everything.

Had an awesome time as did my mates so thanks for a great evening guys! ...Think i'll get a hotel room next time though...was freezing down on the sea front at half 5 in just a 't' shirt!

Look forward to the next time they play locally to me!

Just walked through the door - knackered but smiling!

It was an excellent two days for the A.O. Thought the set was great and the crowd greater than ever. Nice to see Hooky looking down on us all and laughing at us like the daft sods we are. Badges went down well with most people, apart from one person who I won't name who wouldn't even touch it - even when we explained that they were axes and not hammers! Under the circumstances, I judged it best not to labour the point!

As ever, the very best things about the night will never be repeated on a public forum, but special mention goes to Heidi for sorting an excellent afterparty, especially given the short notice. The DJ trully rocked, and even played Voodoo Ray!

Hello to everyone I spoke to during the night, met some great people who I look forward to seeing again. Special thanks to Ren for not hitting me during what must have been a very difficult time while I ranted incoherently at him in the Landmarc.

Finally, to the best travelling companion ever what can I say but breakfast at lunctime, dinner in the bogs. Getting there really can be half the fun!

As for the venue,the Solent Hall at the BIC is where the indoor swimming pool used to be,hence the shit acoustics.I think this is the first gig that's been staged there.
