Any questions you have for Barney, would need to be submitted before a meeting, so he could have the answers on a mini auto cue :evil4:

The Stranglers announce a gig at Oct 9th in the Bournemouth International Center on their Website.

JJ and Hooky in bass volume war then, which is the bigger hall? ( ie who'll have the bigger speakers to play with)

New Order are in the Windsor Hall, which is the bigger venue. The Stranglers are in the Pavilion Theatre. Both part of the BIC Complex, and are about 400 yards apart (Windsor Hall is a bit further from the town centre).

Who's up for a seaside rumble with the Stranglers fans?

I see it now. BIC Halls I thought, there could be a connection between both events, i.e. the Stranglers as special guests.

I was more interested in standing on the beach and looking at the peaches!

You're own yer own, son. Ex-punks. Early 40's. Brains addled by too much speed 'n' glue. No chance. :eek3:

What, cos of all the glue? :eek3:

They must be the most tattooed set of fans in history, no? I remember being a young lad and lots of older lads had that Stranglers tat. It's so instantly recognisable.

Most of them wear black shirts with stranglers logos. Some of them bring their fifteen years old sons with them. Stranglers fans like usually new order, too. The (not so) new stranglers guitarist Baz Warne is a former neighbour of Big Clive.

Strangs in Bournemouth the same night ? Wonder if Hooky and JJ meet up ? Shame Hooky will miss the gig tho ;-) Remember him being at the Manchester strangs gig in in about '92'ish, quoted in 'Sounds' saying 'Best new Live Act' and apparently the 'FreeBass' album 'sounds like JJ's 'Euroman Cometh' album from 1979. Re; Baz Warne, North-east lad, been guitarist for just over 6 years and took over vocal duties as well approx 2 months ago........new album is a stormer as well, out Sept 18th.

Heidi, chill your knickers pet!

This is NO we're talking about, not Westlife. They are not pop stars, just people. I am quite sure you'll bump into some of them one day (even if it's just the great bassgod on his DJ nights), but please be cool and treat them nicely and not the way this post may suggest you may treat them (ie tearing off clothing and pledging undying love).

Get your ticket from Mr Wise then if you are so worried about getting into the afterparty, surely that is the logical thing to do.

Is it me or is Heidi sounding a bit stalkerish?

Well let's just say if I were a rabbit living near her I'd be nervous.

What will the weather be like on the day? And the day after.

There's no point Roy and I bringing waterproof jackets if it's not going to rain.

Afraid not - i already asked MrWise that question - your best bet is to google hotels in bournmouth, i suppose.

& as mentioned above - we're really quite nice in person (just weird when let loose on a keyboard) - don't be put off by us

Hope your guy has a great time & gets to meet the band:thumb: (& apreciates all you are trying to do for him)
