By the way, some listeners of that radio station are complaining about the presence of New Order in the festival. Apparently, the kids want something more rock-oriented, like Linkin Park, Foo Fighters or whatever. Looking on the net, I read some comments like "New Order are crap", "Never heard of them" and "They wouldn't fill a venue of 300 capacity".

Well, now I don't feel so bad about leaving that one out of my itinerary.

If I am able to scoot over to Brazil, say arriving in Sao Paulo on the sunday morning is there enough to do/see to keep Mrs Manic Ocupied eg shopping, Historical stuff, general culteral bollocks in Sao Paul until after the 2nd New Order gig?
That would mean all day Sunday,Monday & Tuesday, leaving for Rio on Wednesday.
The alternative is to skip the Sao Paulo gigs (sorry not as dedicated / bonkers as the 'ardcore) and spend a week exploring Rio. Is this a better option for a holiday with the wife?
Any help / thourghts appreciated?

If you spend the week in Rio you can take a bus (4,5 hours) or a plane (45min) just to check the Sao Paulo concert. I can't skip work and will problably do this
