Wembley Arena

I'm a little confused - I'm in Egham right now for school, and I'm going to the show on the 27th at Wembley arena. I'm trying to figure out how to get there and back on the trains, and getting there seems pretty straightfoward. Getting back however is confusing. Is Wembley Central nearby Wembley North at all..? Are they totally different things? It seems that i have to leave just after 10pm to get back to Egham in time - will the show even be done by then, and if it is, I probably won't be able to get out of the place and to the station on time, right?

Should I just try to find a cheap place to stay nearby or in London for the night, and come back the next day?

Last train to Egham on a Friday night must be after 10pm. You are much better getting a train into London Bridge or Waterloo and getting the tube up to Wembley.

I did try the travel planner..it was confusing for the return trip. getting there seems easy enough..

I think I might just find a hostel to stay at in london and go home the next morning...tube doesn't stop until rather late anyways, right?

And no the show wont be finished by 10pm. You'll probably have to leave an extra ten minutes to walk to the tube. Underground station you want is Wembley Park (I think).

As it appears all the trains on the route to Egham are knackered late at night due to engineering works til December, I would recommend getting a cheap hotel, but you are better getting one in more central London.

Alternatively a cab might be £30. Might be worth getting some quotes from a cab firm in your town.

tube into town is no problem. Its the Egham connection I'm afraid.

Hi Scattermcbrain I work for Transport for London and using TfL's internal Journey Planner system (not the one of the TfL website) this is the best journey I can find for you:

At 22:48 at Wembley Park take a Jubilee Line tube bound for Stratford to Waterloo - will arrive at Waterloo at 23:16

From Waterloo tube walk to Waterloo National Rail Station

23:30 Waterloo BR take South West Trains service for Reading to Egham - Arrives Egham Station 00:08

All this depends on the band finishing around 10:30 - 10:35pm ish and it's around a 5-10 minute walk from Wembley Arena to Wembley Park station. Hope this helps cheers!

Getting a taxi to the venue would save you the stress and worry.However gettig a taxi home again could be a problem,even if you pre-book.
