Yeah, I know, it seems to be a bit of a daft topic. But after reading how a few of us were ill this week, could it be?

I was fine until I woke up Tuesday morning. My head was stuffed up, and I was coughing up some stuff that could probably be best described as weak Guiness. With the stuffy head, it made the flight back to the States quite fun, at one point, I wanted to ask for a pointy object to pierce my eardrum with, you know, anything to relieve the pressure and the pain....Finally noticed that I could smell again today, and, thus, I could taste things again...and tonight, for the first time since returning to the States, I felt like having a beer...or four....

So, did we all manage to make each other ill???

Or am I just looking for another reason to take a few more days off from work???

Perhaps it's Withdrawal symptoms.....

Go on confess who's addicted to jumping around with large sweaty blokes?

Warm and overpriced beer?

Watching someone dad dancing on stage?

Put 5 spoons of sugar into a pot and stir till it melts and becomes goldish. Add one glass of water and keep stirring for a few minutes. Remove from the cooker and add a little milk.

Drink till it's warm. Serves one.

Those not having a sweet tooth might find it very sweet so it's best avoided then.

Proven home remedy for a sore throat

I found gargling with Brandy really helps a sore painful throat...

Perhaps it's a touch of Disco Fever.

Shuglet seemed to develop sleepy sickness before we'd left the Golden Mile, or is he just a big jessie?

BIRD FLU?? Yeah I think my bird's give me it.Either that or it's "Walking around two hours for non-existant London taxis,in my sweaty Monaco shirt"

It hit me a bit late, just spent the last two days laid on the sofa with a head like candy floss :nonono:

Yeah...I'm feeling a little bit better, but I'm still off to the doctor here in a bit...

I put the illness down to NOT drinking enough to kill all the little viruses and microbes...yeah...that's the culprit...

Hope you're drinking plenty at the moment, then, ef, to keep all the rest of them nasty illnesses at bay... :thumb:

Strange...every time I spoke to Leanne on the phone while I was over there, she asked if I had the flu, and insisted I sounded like I was dying of it. I felt no flu symptoms at all. Go figure.

(OK, there's no mystery in how I got the hoarse voice of course....2 gigs worth of singing every word, growling every bass note and mooing NOOO ODDAAAH or just shrieking when my gob was not better engaged.)

I doubt anything could have done me much harm anyway I was dosed to the eyeballs on antibiotics and ibuprofen (didn't fancy tramadol in case I turned inside out mid-gig AGAIN)

Thought it was just me - have felt like crap for two weeks.

All worth it though - eh!
