Twas having a shitty day off, a national holiday here in the States that really did not mean fuck all to me and then I found this! Maybe this is why I did not do anything but eat and sleep and watch my daughter watch Teem Mom today.

They sounded great! Unfortunately I missed the beginning and caught it at True Faith. Bernard's vocals were finally loud enough.

Tussen tackar, tussen tacker for the link !

That sounded great, not sure about the audience reaction though, but I'm sure we'll hear from those present. Did Bernard really say "remember Auschwitz" before Transmission or was that the 6 cans of Karpackie kicking in (decided to get into the spirit and drink Polish beer for the night, 'kin'ell, it's strong stuff). Bernards voice sounded great, makes a difference from listening to the youtube stuff, good mix but the crowd were in the background, but that's probably just a sound board thing.

Was looking forward to Orbital after but took a break to write this, they sounded shite, pitty, but they always sound shite live when watching on youtube or DVD, 'spose you really have to be there, although NO sounded great !

Again, thanks for the link.

First ever New Order-gig in Poland. Same setlist as usual. Exchange Songs Krafty and 1963 this time. They played very well. Young crowd. Lots of Joy Division-T-shirts. So they encores with Transmission and LWTUA were 100% right. I wondered me, that there weren't more people from other countries. Nice festival. The prices for beer was the best I have seen this tour, too. €1,50/pint.

New Order performed an incredible set, closing the first day of Heineken Open'er festival in Gdynia in Poland with a set of New Order classics and Joy Division's finest songs – closing with a crowd rousing performance of Love Will Tear Us Apart.

Was there a change to LWTUA? Bernard really slowed the guitar down for a bit toward the end, almost bringing the saddness back into the song. Is this new or was that the first time I noticed it before?

I haven't noticed it yet. But I think, Bernard introduced c'mon for clapping in Temptation for the first time. 😎

Geri,

what is the quality like? Is it as good as the Berlin stuff on the other thread or compareable to the Sonar stuff you recorded?

@ the 1:28 mark, they slow down and get quiet during LWTUA. Real nice until the inevitable "COME ON!!!!!!"

Qulaity is good. My machine is running a bit slow right now so I cannot really judge but what I have seen looks great. I converted it to audio and it sounds great.

Quality is very good, much better than Sonar. The only problem I've got is that the audio doesn't run in line with the visuals when I play it back [:(] not sure how I can sort that.

That is what I experienced, too. I thought it was my machine. The only thing I can think of to do is to separate the audio from the video and then reapply the audio. Damn Apple and QuickTime!

when I play it on the pc using VLC it is absolutely fine but as soon as I burn it to dvd it goes out of sync again. Anyone any suggestions as to what burner I could use?

VLC

Had to dig into my old HD to find my VLC player to view the Serbian gig. Played Open'er on it and it is great. Next step is to burn....which requires a new burner since mine took a shit. Thanx for the VLC player reminder.

For those that lack a VLC player here is a free one that I use. Looks like it can caputre live streams too. Too much software, too little time...

Geri is right about Opener's quality, much, much better than Sonar and definitely better than Exit (audio especially).
