Are there any modern New Order books available or any in the pipeline? I have got An Ideal For Living which is mostly Joy Division with early New Order and another book called (I think) Wayward Pleasures And Distractions. This book covers Joy Division and New Order up to about Touched By The Hand Of God. Can someone help?

Dreams Never End by Claude something is pretty good. It covers up to about '94. Concentrates mainly on NO. Deborah Curtis wrote 'Touching From a Distance' which concentrates solely on JD. Not really one for NO only fans.
Tar Seb, I have Touching From a Distance which is a very intresting read. Also I have the book about Factory Records by Mick Middles (I hope thats correct) and that is top stuff. The chapters on following New Order around the states make for good reading

There is no mention in the book, but when I was at college many years ago about 1988 I think, there was a 17 year old girl who people said had got off with Barney in the Hacienda and he must of been aged about 32ish at the time. An insperation to all 30 something men.

As if I need any encouragement!! It's a hard life, but somebody's got to do it!!
Most NO books seem to be out of print (at least on my side of the pond). The one I'd like to get is the Claude What's-his-name book, but of course I can't find it. It would be nice if someone came out with a more up-to-date analysis
