String Quartet Tribute

a tribute to new order & joy division with one song thats an original composition?

how is that song a tribute then?

I like it.That's a different way to listen to them anyway

The original songs are supposed to be "In The Style Of..." affairs, but usually miss the mark by a wide margin.

I picked up the String Quartet Tribute to Moby for a dollar at a thrift store and couldn't tell the difference on most of the tracks they picked. Hee.

"Waiting Here" is the best track. Actually I like it a lot. probably becuase it's not a NewOrder cover... Actually some of them are not THAT bad... Got to listen to it again.

I Listened to it once and played it for my cousin once, its not bad but after hearing it twice the novelty has worn off another new order tribute collecting dust

The Joy Division covers aren't too bad? Are you joking? The only ones I thought were listenable were Love Vigilantes, Bizarre Love Triangle, and True Faith. The quartet wasn't even good. They had a very immature sound. It kind of sucks because I think that a few New Order tunes would sound good in a string ensemble setting.

Whoever thought that Blue Monday would make a good choice for a string quartet cover was sadly mistaken. Love Vigilantes had a nice 'American Folk Tune' sound too it. Or something like that.

I got that Nau Ensemble thingie. Pretty weird, kinda funny. Don't listen to it much.
