Seems to be very calm... we had news about a Duran Duran collaboration, we then had news about a Led Zepplin cover... finally we got Vietnam, the Peter Saville Soundtrack, Jobe & Hybrid, plus an upcoming help to Phil Cunningham's band...

So what's with the first two? I guess nobody knows, but I'm very curious about those..

Many distractions from the recording of the new album I must say..

I always thought the Led Zepplin cover was a april fools joke???

And The Duran Duran cd is coming out next year so we should know by then.

Well, my sources tell me that they are currently rehearsing a live set for a tour of the US in January, and the album will follow midway through that tour once they are happy with the final mixes. Cue 76,000 skranking septics all appearing on the site wanting free tickets etc. My sources are Stella Artois infused with Thames water.

Fook knows what they are doing !

Stella Artois Belgium Finest ? Stella is a mass production lager. Technical is it allright but it is not a really nice lager. Even more Stella is killing the nice little breweries in belgium. Stella bought them and waste them. If u like a industrial lager try Maes. if u like Belgium beer forget the lager

Indeed, I don't think the Belgians care much for it, do they? It's also pretty much looked down on by the French too.

However, in the UK, it was our very first ever Premium lager back in the 70's, I think, and blazed a trail for other lagers like Kronenbourg, Lownenbrau, etc, so it carries a kind of kudos for that reason alone. Certainly sorts out the men from the boys too!

What does this thread have to do with beers? :D

Any of you guys tried some Canadian beer other than Molson? :D

We have some pretty good breweries over here,

Check those...

Howver, I am an Heineken fan... I've seen publicities of Stella, but never actually asked for one.. however I've seen a few Irish pubs here with Stella on the outdoor sign ;)

Nic is, of course, fully aware that this is a New Order forum and that it is therefore the nature of the beast that EVERYTHING leads back to alcohol in the end. And where will it end.....????

bizzare. stella is marketed as 'reassuringly expensive' over here in the UK, but is usually the same price as everything else and usually on special offer.

what can annoy the flemmish though is that the advertising is always 'french' over here. even though they don't particularly like it in flanders (not a 'proper' beer) some of them don't like the idea of it being attributed to the waloons (think england v scotland).

but like guiness, stella in its home country is much better. then again over there there are a hundred better beers. As we speak I have in my airing cupboard a large vat of homebrew Leffe-Brune style beer. roll on next friday :D
