Just noticed that the latest British Sea Power single, Remember Me, has very similar/identical fonts to Ceremony 12". Stylistically, lots of their designs look influenced by early Peter saville. Good music BTW too.....![]()

F- me. Good spot - very Ceremony. Is the record any good?
(Sorry, showing my age: Is the muti-format release thingy any good?)
I saw BSP live a few weeks ago at Manchester Uni, they were superb. The albums one of my favourite records of the year and well worth getting hold of.
Its interesting to note the amount of press coverage that references Joy Division as a comparison ie see the record reviews section on their site: http://www.britishseapower.co.uk/independent.htm
They're an intriguing band - a bit odd (strange obsession with nature and Wartime clobber and all that), but certainly one of the more interesting UK groups around at the moment. The great thing is that their album "Rise Of British Sea Power" is widely available at budget price (under £9) - which in my opinion is a very wise move as it means it isn't too much of a gamble if newcomers want to investigate their music. This seems to have paid off - much press attention has seen the latest single go top 30. ![]()

Peter Saville's influence is going to be around for a long, long time.
Wasn't there a thread about this band a few months back? Is the album available stateside? I'll have to check them out ![]()
