Sorry if this is old news but I've just played the latest UNKLE album "Never Never Land" for the first time after having it collecting dust for a month. Pleasantly surprised that they've sampled the drum beat of She's Lost Control on the track Panic Attack and rather good it is too. Not a bad album on the whole but not as good as their debut.

just heard the track - fantastic use of the sample. love never, never land.
i also note that they sampled other things, but not that much credit given to those other things, like george lucas' THX 1138 (on 'I Need Something Stronger'). joy division did get the credit tho.
I'll second that opinion of UNKLE, great electronica outfit! 
I got into them through Ian Brown's stuff as they remix him quite alot and he has guested on both of their LPs (fantastic tracks btw) Be There, Reign, Eye For An Eye, In A State, etc. all tremendous stuff! Lonely Soul on The Beach O.S.T. (along with Brutal) is a great track too, alot more interesting than Ashcroft's "The Test" collaboration with the Chemicals.
I really hope UNKLE are on the shortlist to remix some tracks off the next New Order release, or possibly even collaborate. They could give them a really modern edge and shedloads of (even more) credibility with the dance/electroncia crowd.

yeah.... I'm also a huge UNKLE fan.
also, if you want to do some hunting. on some versions of their first album (psyence fiction) there's a hidden track before the first song. It's called "Intro [optional]" and it's essentially a mega-mix of a ton of songs that have influenced UNKLE. Amonst the tracks, is a snippet of "Blue Monday"

i can't find my copy of psyence fiction--haven't been able to locate it for a few years now (shame, since it was in heavy rotation for a good while). now i only have the sleeve. i think it's time to get a new copy and pick up the new one while i'm at it!

Well you might wanna look for the new double disc UK version. Its got remixes and new tracks on it. came out last week i think.
and the remixes of their tracks are generally better than the originals for some reason - especially Reign and In a State
I like UNKLE too. But only for that Psyience Fiction album, or whatever u call it. I have only bought this.
