Both Mike and I are trying to get everything put onto DVD. Got a studio clip of Paradise/BLT anyone know where it comes from?? Thought I would ask Mike as I know we are struggling on this! Also, has anyone seen the Hurrah 1980 footage that was apparently shot?

I don't think I have seen what you are talking about. It would help if you could describe the performance. Somebody here should then be able to help you out.

Ah yes I would like a copy.

Cheers

Like I said, its like they are in a TV studio. There is no indication what TVprogramme it is..nothing on the walls of the place or on the screen during playback.

No idea on the Paradise/BLT footage, I can't think of any studio footage that has ever seen light of day from this era. I know that the San Giovanni Valdarno gig was videoed (for BLT promo ?) but have never seen footage (and they didn't do Paradise), and think G-Mex 86 was, (wasn't it?), but none of these would be in a studio !

No idea about Hurrah's footage either - that would be quite an experience !

Yes, Tim its a bit of a strange one, but its definatley in the studio. I did'nt realise San Giovanni was videoed, so theres another one for myself & Mike to find somewhere. Yes, the Hurrah gig was done by the promoter at the time in the US (Cabt remember his name) but he later fronted Factory US. It mentions it in one of the books that are available.

Yeah, San Giovanni was a one-off gig apparently, in a market square that was found the year before and decided to be an appropriate setting for a video shoot. The whole set was a bonus to the crowd who had anticipated only a couple of tracks !

Some gig that to have on Video/DVD...anyone else know if this is in circulation?

Your Paradise/BLT seems to be from a french TV broadcast for the brotherhood's promo 86. A short interview followed by these two songs, I've recorded this a long time ago but eventually lost the tape. The name of the programm was probably "Les enfants du rock" or maybe "Rockline" not sure about that. I do not remember if it was just a playback/miming or a session but the versions were very close to the LP ones.

Cheers for the list Mike. I have lost track on what we have actually got!!! See you tomorrow. David. Stephanies comments are interesting I will try and confirm this, for the record I think they are playing live..as always, on the footage we have. Not sure if you are into the minor/anal details but Hooky does change from a 6 string bass to a 4 string bass on the footage, other than that there is nothing else I can remember that could point us to a verified source so I guess we will take your French TV answer as "the winner"

Don't know the name of this either, but I got it on an audio tape several years back as filler. It was labelled then as from a French studio so I can at least confirm that this is most likely true. As to what program, beats me. sound quality is great though.

Yeah...sounds not bad on the dvd, but I give the picture about a 8/10 still watchable though.

The only decent quality video I have got is "transmission" 15/09/79 BBC broadcast (downloaded whith Kazaa not in your list)

The reason Joy Division s not listed is that we have eveything!!! I am sure I am right about that.
