Meaning of Factus

What does factus mean? As is Factus 50?

I can't tell why some are FACUS and some FACTUS.

FAC related to singles and assorted stuff (stationary, etc) in the UK and FACT was for LPs (FACT 14c etc was cassette albums).

"Fac" was for singles, posters, gimmicks, etc. "Fact"/"Facd"/Fact##c" was for albums/videos. Same for Facus, Fac##2, etc.

Perhaps FACTUS and FACUS are just FACT and FAC for United States??? Just a guess. Seems like just some cataloging scheme, though why it would be displayed so promentently on the Movement album, I don't know.

It appears that EVERY US release had the prefix FACTUS, irrespective of its status as single, album, event, etc. Any US releases subsequently released in the UK had the "proper" Factory catalogue prefix appropriate to the release format (e.g. Atmosphere b/w SLC - US release: Factus 2; UK release: Facus 2 UK).

Yep this seems to work (except FACUS 4 - ACR's Do the Du which may just be a typical Factory fuck up). It'll have to do anyway!
