Did the late Mr. Curtis go up or down after he died? Or sideways, for that matter?

Was his suicide a mortal sin that damned him forever? Was he a bad person? Or did he qualify for the heavenly choir? Did his musical ability countervene his faults as a person? Does he reside in a limbo state depending on the karma of the spirit? Can we judge a person we've never met? I know I can.
