I remember seeing these in HMV at the time and really wanting one but I was still at school and the pocket money wouldn't stretch (I guess now the t-shirt probably wouldn't stretch enough!).

And unless Al is also Gustav Klimt I would say he didn't make it himself...!!!

Chris :)

Christ!, I forgot that T shirt existed - I remember seeing it a bit around 85 but never did buy it. Do have a print of the Klimt though which is a nice piece.

Must confess to owning this one but disintegrated a long time ago along with the 1986 State of the Nation tour t-shirt.

Nah, I used to own it. Pointless getting it now though.

Those Malvern pics were taken by my mate Darren.

There's a Royal Albert Hall t-shirt (bootleg, I guess?) on ebay as well at the mo' -

I pointed this out to my roommate because he's a big Klimt fan. I told him it marries his two major loves: art nouveau and New Order. Then he laughed. The end.

Well, it was available outside the Albert Hall, but it was a bootleg. Had the 86 tour red and black pattern on the front and the Albert Hall pic on the back, if I remember correctly. The official tour t-shirts had the dates of all the gigs (Malvern wasn't included) on the back.

Also on sale in HMV, so must have been semi-official?

The one I was thinking of had the red and black on the front, with the RAH image on the back, instead of the tour dates. Looked a bit flimsy and was only sold outside (across the road on the park side).
