a friend of mine is in London right now. and i´d like him to bring me some vinyls. could anyone tell me where he can go for that? please understand it has to be the lowest prices with the best quality possible. money is an issue for an Argie these days.

thanks!!! :thumb:

Try Berwick Street - off the south side of Oxford Street on the edge of Soho (Oxford Circus tube station is nearest). You get Selectadisc, Reckless and Sister Ray amongst others. Might not have much NO though, it's getting scarcer these days.

Otherwise, there's another Reckless in Camden. Don't know many other parts of London, not being a bloody suvvener.

What he said and I'm a southern softy from London. Sister Ray usually carries a decent amount of JD & NO

Another place worth trying is Notting Hill, for the various branches of Music and Video Exchange. They have an excellent if pricey rareties section, which usually has some interesting NewOrder / Factory items. (M&VE in Berwick St's selection isn't that good any more but it's worth a look).

Get the tube to Oxford Circus tube. Exit onto Oxford Street at the junction with Regent Street. From this junction, make sure you are on the south side of Oxford Street. Head east. Go past Borders on your right hand side. Keep going until you see a street sign for Berwick Street on the right (not a particularly wide street).

Walk down Berwick Street, looking out for record shops as you go. You will see several (mentioned above). When you get to the fruit and veg market, you will find Sister Ray. If you keep going you will end up in a sex shop, so unless that is your thing, stop here.

Alternatively, get a map or take someone with you!:thumb:

The turning for Berwick Street is just past HMV 150 Oxford Street. But on the opposite side of the road.
