Well cat dodgers I was in the multimedia section of the OrderLiner and holy toleedo what a great place for us all. I'm yet to visit every room in the house but after my bird got 'Broadband 512k'... that's 'Broadband' at home!!!!! - I was immediately wearing my mask, stripey jumper and dragging my swag sack around the place.

So the question is... how the hecky-mick & tom does one acquire some of the quality material stored on Nicky The Blank's server of joy?... I mean, yes RealPlatypus is great for listening live style but how the blazes can I download, upload, re-route and disable the lightswitches when it comes to crafting me own best of robbed material? What happened to the MP3's for me and thee?

Is it one for the lawyers or am I only permitted to listen without prejudice?

Whilst were on this matter I'd like to thank whomever up-routed the cover versions through the interpipe... some of these are absolutely hilarious... especially the Elvis Joy Division song.

One other thing... to the web fettlers, some very humorous comments on the audio material - had me laughing whilst I was running my potato bath.

Busty's tip of right clicking helped me.The prompt 'save target as' allowed me to download the Cologne stuff which is excellent and yours and Klumpy's songs.

But you can only donwload when it's marked MP3...

There must be a way fellas... I don't think I can survive another moment of my crispy life without hearing that crazy Jap version of 'Bizarre Love Rectangle' burnt to a cinder on me CD unit.

BTW, I thought Huntster had a macintosh... where only ONE button is present on the mouse (how will the hootsman workaround that trap?)

God-Zukes your correct... I'm like a human one-armed bandit, nay worse, I'm a one-armed bandit who's one good arm is damaged.

How do we get to those files boys?!!

Huntsy baby, i'm afraid the only way to aquire the Real Audio stuff is to record it as it's playing, so you'll have to attach some sort of Huntsman swag grabber to capture those digital delights. Alternatively, become an Audio Galaxian like many of the rest of us and search for the particular gem that has caught your beady eye, the quality is usually better than Real Audio. Welcome to broadband by the way, it's funkin great in't it! :smoking:

Scruffbox I could hardly contain my own excitement once it was plumbed into me birds pleasure room and I was Buster boosting at the seams to gas to you that the Huntsman had moved from 11kbps to a whopping 512!!!! (cripes its like a whirlwind in my mind, like an evergrowing circle or a windmill in my eye)... at the same time the Beautiful BBand machine was introduced she brought in a brand new iMac (at speeds so fast felt like I was drunk) so it was double my trouble and the rebel mc. Quite frankly I may as well be called Dick Turnip the internet robber of old London town for the amount of fiddle sticks I've tried to obtain... with absolutely sod-all success I might add. Nobody told me that Snapster had exfoliated, and that's about the only site I could think to visit... except pringles.com and tights.org

I heard that Audio Galaxy Galaxian was only a PC based thingy-a-mijigy jig... but now you've mentioned it I'll have a go at that little shit box and see what me bread van thinks of it.

By the way, you'll be impressed to know that the Huntsmule had already twigged that plugging the beautiful audio out of the iMouse's built in sound handling system for beginners and recording on-the-fly was the way to resolve the lack of MP3 for me and thee issue as enforced by our hosts Sebastien Trickle Snout and Nicky the Greek.

Good times have entered the Huntsman's own home... and Muffy, I'll most probably see you in Galaxy Galaxian...

Incidentally Scruffy Mouse... I have also located a suitable package to spruce up me old tapes and vinyl onto a burning cd machine... Toast 5 Platinum!!! - yes that's right, Toast with the most. Evidently this little package has all the necessary ingredients to reduce any hissing snakes off old analogue tatter and tweak a few EQ's while we're at it.

Soon my old Kate Bush 12"s will be recorded onto inexpensive segments of plaggy which can withstain an average jam attack and up to 400 tonne or similar lorry roll over move.

The only thing is... I've stuck it on me Santa wish list and... I mean, you know... what if he doesn't get it or I've been bad over the year?

Mmmm... no its called Toast Titanium.

At this rate I'd be lucky if Father Fettlemouse didn't just bring me half a loaf with roasted bread written up the side.

Easy does it with the noise reduction Huntsy, you'll find it's quite easy to burn the toast if you give it too much of the hiss pop treatment hence the top end will disappear leaving very flat lifeless bread indeed. :smoking:

Your right - I agree... it would be like hitting the 'chrome tape' function on the old cassette player our forefathers used to use. That particular 'trick' should have been called 'Treble or Not?' or maybe, 'Press Here to Cut the Sound in Half'.

I'll be very careful with the pop weasel facility on the toasting machine... with a bit of hard labour I expect only golden bronzed bread with a fine smattering of peanut butter.

Snakey I'm caught up with a gang load of work today but have noted the excitement around Buster's new acting career. Don't worry, the Huntsman will be at it as soon as poss. - then I'll be back to join the gang.

(cheers for the tip!)
