erm... god that's a good question.
i'd like to see british sea power OR interpol supporting new order, but people might say they're both trying to be joy division too much, however it would get the crowd going a heck of a lot.
belle and sebastian seems interesting :D:D:D i'm a very big fan. got all their albums

...which, tragically, ain't ever going to happen. Met Robin Guthrie at a gig a few years back and he told me in no uncertain terms that a reformation was a definite no-go. I think things between him and Liz are still very tense since the split (both as a couple and a group), and hence the lack of release for posthumous archive goodies that allegedly exist (like the two-thirds of an lp they'd put together before they broke up).
Re: the opening post - I really don't think the shy and retiring Belle & Sebastian would have much hope in front of a lairy, lagered-up New Order crowd!!!
Dont really care about support bands, the anticipation of seeing the order means they are more of an irritation than anything else!!
Festivals are slightly different but then again so is the atmosphere.

Been a lot better if they'd turned it into a full day event, and not truncated the sets to 40 minutes each.
From what I can remember I don't think Bernard could have lasted any longer than 40 minutes! Which leads me to a question. Did The Smiths ever appear with NO before or after the aforementioned gig?

I reckon PSB could get the night started, the drift into an Electronic section with the above couple of songs before hitting the good stuff at the peak of the show. And maybe Hooky could pop up for a bass solo in west end girls....
