WHY? I guess that was his fancy - just to be the opposite background to the New Order image. After all I like Gillian's background.

The US one was shorter, but added the video for Run2.

There was apparently a video for BM83. I've only ever seen it once. It was on the Shit man and Whore, on the occasion they did it at fac51. And what a show that was. For those not familliar with it "the hit man an her" featured Pete-i gave the world big fun-waterman and michela strachan going round the poncey lightweight trendy clubs of old londinium. It featured awful music( often from Mr waterman's PWL label), brightly lit clubs, crap dancers, and the sort of grown-up kids party games you expect to find on a club 18-30(IQ) holiday. THEN they went to the hac. LOL It went like this.... OK Pete, we'll host your show, but...... You have NO say in the music, it'll be our normal Dj for the night. Your mics are not getting plugged into the sound system. You can play your fucking games in the Bogs. No lights, no dancers, you can contend with 25 strobe lights in a black aircraft hangar, and some E-fueled freaker, barney dancing on a podium. It was awesome, the music was actually quite good, and they played the BM video, which looked a lot like another of Steve's "let see what this mac can do" exercises, bearing a resemblance to video586. If anyone has this on tape(the show not just the vid) PLEASE tell me, I'll send you lots of money/sleep with your ugly daughter etc...... I've worn my tape of it out.

PS. Run2 was probably missing cos of all the BS about it sounding like a John Denver tune, OK it DOES, but then back to life by soul2soul is smoke on the water, adn they got away with it.

As for Theives Like Us - I don't know of an 'official' video at all.

I was under the impression the first official NO video was the horrible Confusion one all the videos i have seen before this date have been tv performances or taken of that early Taras Shevchenko video

Where were 'Ceremony' and 'Temptation'(82) taped at? Were they taken just from TV shows, or they were from regular New Order concerts?

Anyone knows where one can take those videos complete?

FINALLY found a copy of the DVD at the usual place to buy these things in Portland, they've had all of the other NO stuff before, but this was the first time ever for NOS. Got the version w/out the Japanese subtitles as well, so I'm happy with that. Yes, I can also add that this thing needs to be re-released!!!!!

Bought this on VHS when it first came out, but would jump at the chance to get a DVD copy as the picture quality on a 15 year old video cassette will just go from bad to worse...

I have no idea whether what I purchased is playable in all regions, or if it's N. America only, but I'm glad I found it. The cover, for those who may want to look for it in their various parts, is a rather crappy reproduction of the Low-life photos on the front, and a few misspellings in the tracklisting on the back, but the quality is quite good indeed. Keep yer eyes peeled.

I don't think Blue Monday's 1983 track had an official promo video?! I think it was just some thrown together footage. The first real video was Confusion - or so you would of thought as the first track on the Substance 1989 video is that one!
