Late night viewing here at THE PLANET ROCKET.Question is just who is the female vocalist and rest of the group members on VIVID when they appeared on TOTP.Cheers to SHUGZV for this video.

G'day Rocket I could be wrong, but I think it's Astrid Williamson - she's also creditited with backing vocals on a few TT tracks, including Vivid. Apparently, she does have some solo stuff, http://www.astridwilliamson.net

Cracking session musicians on that performance, btw - Jimi Goodwin, Ged Lynch and Phil Cunningham! CTB :bear:

I saw Astrid Williamson live last week, supporting Cinerama. Just her on acoustic guitar and she'd borrowed Cinerama's bassist to help out (they both used to be in Goya Dress).

Not really my thing, but she does have a luver-ley voice.

Me and DoN once went on a quest to find out who the bird was - this was a while back, DoN finally tracked her website down and says she's not as nice as he thought :lol:

Was that at the Wedgewood Rooms? I was at that, but wouldn't have had a clue she's done session work. Did the old Wedding Present tunes - takes me back to my yoof.

I agree, great work from the session musicians on TT, and I love Astrid's voice, I think that heavenly beginning of When She's Gone is what makes it my favourite Electronic song ever (top bridge and chorus as well).

:lol: I forgot we were talking about the 96 Jools show. It was the same lady that sung on the 1999 appearances as well - I had forgot about that. I think it was Denise Johnson who did backing lyrics to Get The Message etc in 91.
