For me the 1983- 1984 and then 1985 is my fondest time as i was getting in to them and the way they were developing around that time was so exciting.

1981 through 1984 for me although the 1985 gigs sound very, very good but the growth in creativity had already peaked IMHO.
Low-life may be their best album, but I think their creativity peaked during the 1983-1984 era.

I'm stuck between the Power Corruption & Lies era and the late 80s early 90s (yes I include Republic!) For creativity it has to be 1982-1984.
Have to go with Technique on this one.
TF87 is my favourite tune but Technique is such a solid album, it has to get my vote.
