That's what i call culture, Mario :)
Pretty assured it will go into the top40 in the UK
Dunno if they'll do a live performance on TOTP tho, depends on how high it charts & if they can be arsed I guess! Got a feeling they'll just show the video on this one...
Number of times i've heard 60 mph on uk radio in last 4 weeks - nil Number of times 60mph video seen on uktv - nil
chart entry position - you will be bloddy lucky boys (& girls)
Yeah, indeed charts SUCK.
Nevertheless (this is fun), keep us posted on the results of this super competition!!

So Niel...
are you saying that you don't believe it will chart???
Perish the thought!!!
Put it this way folks, you know my stance on the unmitingating shiteness and pointlessness of the British Charts...so how about this consolatory theory....if you eliminate or disregard the existence of virtually every other shit record that clogs up the top 40 each week, you can bet on your life that the New Order one should be up there in the top three. Simple isn't it, when you know how.
These days, a chart position is just a number - it means NOTHING. It's not even a relative gauge of how good a record is. Fuck - why don't we just banish charts altogether, seeing as there seems to be a top 20 for almost every fucking activity in the cosmos now: top 20 best-selling sandwiches at Pret A Manger for example? Oh, Fuck off!!
SHUG - TO ROOM 101 WITH ALL CHARTS!!! PRONTO!!!
It'll do okish I reckon as there were loads of copies on sale at HMV and only about 2 or 3 other singles by popular artists out this week. 24.
According to one source, 60 Miles An Hour is at 24 in the UK mid-week charts, according to popbitch.
So, considering that I was probably the very first person to say that in an earlier thread.
Consider my prediction vindicated once again!!

And let us not forget - if their BASTARD RECORD COMPANY had stuck to originally releasing it FOUR weeks ago, it might well have done a bit better - without so much pre-Xmas competition to come up against. Honestly, what the fuck do they think they are playing at, constantly pissing around with release dates in this frankly outrageous and damn annoying way. Did they honestly think that New Order would be able to compete with all that shite around it?
Bet the Charlatans went top 20 though - and U2, and Staind. Possibly even REM. There's probably about 15 entries that have gone in higher due to the immense number of new releases from big names out this last week. Fucking pisser. See what I said?? Nobody believes me do they? ..... about London records being complete and utter sadistic and clueless hellbent of fucking up New Orders chart chances.. Well, you will now. New Order's chart career is over. Official. Shug - you owe me a drink. Now Cough up!!
