I've realized that the second track on the US CD5 promo of BLT (PRO-CD-7587) is listed as Album Version (3:52). Well, the regular US CD5 (9 20546-2) lists its first track as Album Version (4:20). It turns out that the promo-version (3:52) is actually the same version found on the Married To The Mob soundtrack.
My question is: wherelse can one find this 3:52 "MTTM" version? And is there an established name for this version?

I have it back at home - fuck knows where it came from though, but I definitely have a BLT Married To The Mob Mix. I'll post my findings tomorrow;)
sorry, TLV, I can't help you in this :( ...but THANKS for pointing it out cuz I have both US 2-track promo & the 5-track digipak and I've didn't notice the differences :).
I'm sure these versions of BLT can be found in many other obscure POP HITS compilation all around the world as it is undoubtedly the most popular NO song next to True Faith.

Dunno matey - there are about 4357 versions of Confusion closely followed by 4018 versions of Blue Monday......and that's only the official remixes
It's called "Stephen Hague Mix" also btw.
Though it's a promo version, the final mix is what is called BLT '94 on the Best of album...
I'd need to check which version is on the Threesome album, I think it's also a different version ?

Kool. Are you saying that the MTTM version (a remastered one) is the same as BLT94?
Threesome is supposed to have a 3:23 version, i.e. even shorter.
I haven't bothered to do a comparison-listen between all versions yet. As ShugZV said, there are about a gazillion different versions/edits...
I've started my ambitious project to backup all my music to mp3 (buring to DVD for later creation of a gigantic jukebox... :) ), so I'm noticing all these minor discrepancies...

It was said (not by me) that the only difference between the MTTB mix and BLT94 was the chime ending... so it is indeed different, but only that.
Now, is that true? I can't say, I used to think the whole '94 versions were re-recorded (at least vocals)... 
Found it stored on me computer last night, dunno where I downloaded it from though - sorry mate there's no details! The version I have is 3.58.

no, really. the MTTM mix has some "dododo´s" after the first chorus and slight different instrumentation in some parts. you´re right about the ending, the chime doesn´t fade out so abruptly as the 94 version and it´s also louder.
