Bought a job lot of 12" singles and albums over the weekend, sold 'sight unseen ' for £3.00 ,in amongst the ancient floor fillers and novelty albums were :

Blue Monday 12" , cut out sleeve with semi circular cutouts on the bottom and a square cutout on the barcode side.

No groove notation , liner sleeve printed/pressed by nuevos medios

Thieves Like Us 12" , grey sleeve and usual picture , notation on Lonesome side is ... mvs45 , melkes . On the thieves side notaion is mvs40 ,fac103 t A2 , melkts RW .

State of the N 12" as nool listed for UK release .

Seems like a bargain , question is , the Blue Monday aint like me old copy , so is it a snide , a re-issue in the wrong sleeve or right sleeve ... worth less than the £3 I paid for the whole box of junk ?

Incidentaly the ' car boot vendors ' were a middle aged couple ( 45+ ) , which may explain the Paul Young album with a JD track on it :\ohwell:

If you replace the lyrics and the music to his original version it might make it better. Flange on top of Paul Young? That sounds digusting Mr Mac.

The semi-circular cutouts are the typical diskette-openings... Nuevos Medios is the label used in Spain, so it appears as if this is a Spanish pressing. Interesting. It is not listed in the New Order Discography. Please inform us what the catalogue-number is - it's probably 5 digits, starting with 31, and it may end with a letter (perhaps M).

Sems like a nice deal.

On the very edge of the actual label , Blue Monday side : 31-035A Above that line : D.L. M-8906-83 On the run out groove : 850 31 035*A*1

On the very edge of the actual label , The Beach side :

Above that line : the nuevos medios logo 31-035 B

On the run out groove :

That is a Spanish pressing then. Nice.

Let me know (in private) if you want to trade it for some other NO vinyl.

NEWS OF THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE...... rocket mick buys an no item that is damaged! how can an item be damaged but still minty mint sir rocket? been on the alcopops again? NO....i was GIVEN a 4 CD SET of this said PRODUCT and therefore i now have a PROPER BOX aswell(well i will have when SHUGZV gives me the BOX also!).Therefore i shall just swap boxes.I know one is a CD BOX and one is for LPS but on PLANET ROCKET i can put a MINTY MINT set of LPS into a CD BOXSET and all will be well.I cannot really count the CDs as part of the collection so will LOAN them to my son until i feel i can deal with this situation.I hope you see the LOGIC in all this ....i CAN'T.What is IMPORTANT is i OWN the FOUR MINTY MINT LP's in PRISTINE condition with absolute MINTY MINT COVERS with a MINTY MINT BOOKLET and BOX...even if it is the WRONG one.Great when you have em ALL.Bet you wished you never asked.Did i ever tell you about the slight tear in THE EXCLUSIVE SUBCULTURE MIX?That damned cellotape caused me no end of problems.Pass me a BEER now.......... ROCKET MICK in the wrong but always RIGHT...pity i can't use the quote correctly.

Eastenders has a character called Minty , I guess he also is MINTY MINT , therefore; I summise your MINTY MINTY PALATINE boxset to be UNSHAVEN and often incomprhensible to the northern ear , with a double chin , clearly someone has been taken for a ride in your new car ....:p

If I have the wrong end of the stick , a morrello cherry ICECREAM for the ROCKET in FREDERICKS:nod::nod::thumb: And a lager nontop in the YARROW when the sun come out:thumb:

12" shl 130. Sugar Hill label ,manufactured and marketed by PRT records . A side White Lines ( dont do it ) B side White Lines ( dont do it ) Release 1983 ................. Yeah that's in there , still got a Debenhams price sticker on it £2.45 ! Good track too , drop me an e-mither .. gary62mac@msn.com

A Spanish pressing of The Crown ( el corona ) by Gary Byrd and the GB Experience with Stevie Wonder was amongst the 12 inch singles and a This Mortal Coil album , Filligree and Shadow , some Killing Joke 12 inchers , it was eclectic to say the least :D

Got the original garrod and lofthouse pressings of Still, UP, Closer, Atmoshpere, LWTUA from a bargain bin in a second hand tv shop once for about 10p each. The cover of still was actually vandalised by the owner who wrote in green felt tip "joy division" and "new order" and a some very bad musical notation. Maybe it was gillians old copy and steve made her throw it away...
