The version of Let's Go on both my US and JP (CD) version of Salvation is poorly mastered. The sound levels start out low and the balance is to the right. Later on in the track things bet better. However, is Let's Go (the Salvation version) available in full and in good quality on some other pressing? Or are all the pressing of the same quality.

Retro has a fade-out, good mastered version of the Salvation version, but I want the full track.

That's always really bugged me. I'm not aware of a properly mastered version anywhere, in fact I thought it's inclusion on Retro was to rectify that mistake but somehow we only ended up with that pointless edit rather than the whole thing.

The version used actually in the film is probably OK, actually I seem to remember it sounding like a slightly different mix. Sadly I don't have the right technology available to rip the audio off my VHS tape...

Yes, when I originally bought the vinyl album, I took it back two times before I realised that "Let's Go" was obviously mastered incorrectly...

When I eventually got round to buying the European CD, I thought that it would sound better... Nope... And the same for the Japanese CD...

As Old Blue says, the version in the film sounds good, and (to my hears) a lot of the New Order tracks in the film sound different to those on the soundtrack... Might get round (eventually) to try and extract them at some point, but I'll need to find some time first!

l8rs,

Nick ;)

You can have a lend of mine. Viewer discression is advised though, on account of it being total gash...

Yup, it is indeed a crap film (and I've seen some dire films in my time!) - the only positive thing about it is New Order's music!

Thanks for the offer! Do you remember if NO's songs are featured in their entirety in the film?

Nah, this is the only place I get to vent my built up problems... If it wasn't for NOOL I'd explode :D Just wait until I start to rip my vinyl to mp3... (that would be around 2015).

It's not available on LD? And no, I haven't seen the flick.
