It's worth it for Don't Do It alone. Always prefered it to Fine Time, myself.

I don't know that I would claim it's their best, but I quite like the end of Close Range.

Don't Do It is absolute quality. Finest thing to come out of that whole Technique era, IMO.

Because it sounds dated?

"Fine Time" sounded great at the time but now I'm not so sure.

I still maintain that "Fine Time" was a total piss-take from start to finish. Much as I love it it, it is so out of place on "Technique" it's untrue....

The ending to Subculture Glastonbury '87, which oddly enough wasn't included in the Windsong release.

Bernard says, "Thank you, thank you. Notice that all our songs finish with big endings. Big songs, small dicks."

Al, please correct me if I've bolloxed the translation from the original Mancunian...

--Sami used to have this on tape cassette.Barney says that at the end of Perfect KIss,in a radio 1 gig......i like the end of regret, played live, that bass is sheer love...hooky must be the best of all bass men,of all time.

I second that! TPK's (Substance version, that is) ending's cool too.

I have no idea... in my opinion it's a house classic and one of my favourite New Order tunes. And as for it sounding dated... haven't any of you listened to Low-Life and Brotherhood lately? PARTICULARLY Brotherhood... just sounds like bogstandard 80s fluff on the whole. PC & L on the other hand has dated quite well, as has Movement, strange considering they're over 20 years old

I never said I hated Fine Time. Don't Do It is just a brilliant track.

how about Lonesome Tonight. Just listening to the PCL 85 version and thinking how amazing it would be to hear that gorgeous uplifting outro live again...

Perfect Kiss and Dream Attack are tops for me. I'm also quite partial to the way Here to Stay ends aswell.
