if they will be there all october that means they had a plan B just in case. besides, this producer represents 50% of the tracks, that means the other 50% is covered by the other producer. so i wouldn´t alarm so much, especially if all what´s need it´s the production hand. i´m sure they have it all recorded by now. don´t you think?

However, I had a good source about that one, I guess Hooky decided to go on...

You want to give that source of yours a good slap round the kipper - I had a heart attack when I read yer post. I thought I'd forked out a few quid on Flights for a NO show. I was THAT worried I got in touch with the G-Man last night. One good thing to come out of it though. I am having Brown Sauce on ma Square Sausage rolls when I arrive up the road....This is a wee Scottish "in" joke:D

Well, the souce is accurate, probably Hooky changed his mind about that, who knows!
There are 2 other dates of "Get Loaded" set for October and November, maybe they are the ones, I have no idea.
Anyways, if Grahame is still a little pissed at me, the news is now on the front page, I hope we're even 
Rechecked, it's October 8/9 that might be cancelled... although I didn't know he had things on both dates.
So if you consider going to Get Loaded in October, I suggest you double check that !! It's not the first time they would advertise Hooky but he's not there...
Are they still signed to London Warner? Cos I thought Retro was their contract filler which meant they were free of the label. I hope they're now on their own label or something cos if they still are signed to London Records then there's no chance of getting the new album on nice shiny black vinyl the week it comes out - as far as I know Get Ready was never issued on vinyl cos London recirds never bothered to press enough copies the lazy useless cheapskates.

As far as I know, they are still with London Records.. I'm more curious to see if they will still be on Rhino in the US.. that's the 3rd label they have been in the last years! (Qwest, Reprise, then Rhino)...
As many other NewOrderphiles will attest - nothing beats the sound of decent good quality heavyweight vinyl - with big wide grooves. Two slabs of 12" vinyl would be a perfect format for any forthcoming LP. Digital obviously has its strengths but artwork wise the CD booklets are always far inferior. Peter Savilles art is best appreciated in 12-inch squares. New Order are one of the few bands whose artwork has NEVER been given full respect when it comes to the CD versions of their albums.....the format doesn't do it any justice.

It was, I have a copy, as do a few others on here. It came out about a month or more after the c.d mind.

i must say there is a vinyl edition of Get Ready though. made by the germans, not by London. go ahead and buy it and enjoy it! i´d love to do it myself but i can´t afford €14 + shipping! 
Oh how I do love the sound of good vinyl on a really good turntable!! Get Ready really comes out of the box, so to speak, when spinning on the table!!!
Totally agree with the Saville theory of his 12" artwork when compared to the chinsy CD shite!!
Ive got the cassette of Get Ready.Its a bugger folding the inlay back to fit in the case!.And it hasn`t got extra tracks at the end of each side like the old days re the Power,Corruption And Lies ,Low - Life and Brotherhood cassettes:)

Can you believe it, all the new songs they have recorded are sitting there somewhere, they actually exist. Can't wait for the release.

Actually i might buy some DVD boxes and print off some art work from the net and i`ve got my personal copy of Low Life or whatever in a DVD box.

Oddly enough, I desperately hope that New Order isn't on Rhino for good, simply because their logo would utterly mess up the consistency of Saville's Design.

I *heard* the Lansdowne show. By leaning out a window of my dads office block (on Lansdowne Road).
I was there & the sound WAS sh1t - but it got better as it wore on. Me & the wife were some of the odd ones who left after NO while loads more were comming in for the Chillies - we got some odd looks from security! Best bit was Hooky F-ing up the intro to 60 miles so they just stopped & tried again!
Hope its a smaller venue next time - they were brilliant in the Point in '93

Lets be honest,they haven`t had a decent sleeve since Run2,with maybe Regret the exception,both the "Republic" and "Get Ready" stuff was quite poor.
Regards the new album.Aparrantly they had to ditch a couple of songs because they sounded too similar to Mr.Brightside and Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine off The Killers album Hot Fuss.This was stated by The Killers and may or may not be true.
