Inspired by Devillon...

...Here's a cover of The Perfect Kiss that I've been working on sporadically for the past few months, and still haven't finished. A lot of the sounds are sampled from old Casio keyboards(the SK-1 and VL-Tone, in particular), and others are just random electronic noises.

Hehe, that sounds pretty cool, feels like im playing sega megadrive or an earlier system. How do you create these? Can you simply use a program on the computer? Or do you need keyboard etc.

I gathered up a collection of various Casio sounds that I've amassed over the past few months and decided to use them for a cover of The Perfect Kiss, simply for the fact that my favorite element of the song was its punchy, primitive sequencers and the song's general punchiness, and most early casio sounds are just that: punchy and primitive.^_

Yes, the SK-1 is one of the coolest Casio synths out there, second only to the VL-1. :)
